No problem. A Raider Like Indiana (talk) 04:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I was wondering if you could help me with my nomination for Adminship. I have been on Wikipedia as a user for almost a year. I joined in April 3, 2007 and as you know my last RfA was in July 2007 and I thank you for supporting me that time, although my RfA was unsuccessful. A Raider Like Indiana (talk) 04:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be willing to give you some coaching, if that's what you mean. Acalamari 03:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you. A Raider Like Indiana (talk) 05:42, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My request for bureaucratship[edit]

My RfB[edit]

Hey Acalamari, just a quick note to say thanks for supporting my recent RfB which passed successfully with (133/4/3). I much appreciate your positive comments and look forward to meeting your expectations. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:04, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are very welcome for my support in your RfB. :) I hope you like the shirt. Acalamari 19:06, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Protection[edit]

I notice you indefinitely semi-protected several pages today in response to WP:RFPP requests. When (semi)-protecting pages, please consider setting an expiry date. Indefinite (semi)-protection should only be used for high-risk templates and pages subject to persistent long-term vandalism. Stifle (talk) (trivial vote) 19:39, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do set expiries normally, it's just that some of those pages were high-vandalism pages, such as Romania (it's a country, and countries are normally targets), Mount Vesuvius‎ (no idea why this is a target), and New Zealand (also a country). Feel free to change some protections if you wish, but if you do, please remember mention in your protection summaries that I said so (not because I own my actions, but rather, to prevent the appearance of wheel-warring). Acalamari 20:02, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have, however, changed 1992 to two weeks. Acalamari 23:07, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: your reversion of edits by an anon at the Sofia Vassilieva article[edit]

If she was born in america and her parents are russian shouldn't we still consider her an american of russian descent? and not a "russian-american"?

The edits were left by an IP editor who has constantly added unnecessary categories and unsourced information to BLP articles (using different IPs), which was the reason for my revert. Feel free to change the wording of the article, however. Acalamari 15:23, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chances of passing an RfA?[edit]

Hello Acalamari.
I am hoping you can give me some advice.
I was nominated for an RfA two weeks ago. I failed on the grounds that I had too little experience in non-vandalfighting areas.
Since then, I have not really changed my editing patterns. However, I have done a lot of vandal fighting since then.
This is a fairly hard-to-read text version of my wannabe kate summary at the start of my failed RfA
Here is my wannabe kate summary now.
Someone asked me today if they could nominate me for admin. I told them I would have to ask some experienced users what they thought about me trying again so soon after failing an RfA.
Based on what I have done in the interval, do you think there is any chance that I would pass an RfA? J.delanoygabsadds 16:49, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would hold off running for adminship again for at least a month, but preferably, two, or better still, three. If you ran right now, I am 100% sure that the majority of your opposition would be "oppose - too soon since last RfA". You've doubled your edit count since that RfA, but that won't affect people's decisions too much, as those edits were likely vandalism reversions. I think that after a couple of months, and after doing some article-writing, and maybe after learning the speedy deletion criteria and doing some newpage patrolling, your next RfA should be a success. I strongly suggest not running now. Acalamari 16:58, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

You can do that? That sounds cool. Yeah, I'll give it a try, why not? Thanks :) Gatoclass (talk) 18:03, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted. :) Yes, due to a feature implemented about two months ago, administrators can now grant admin-rollback to non-admins. Just remember it's for reverting vandalism/spam, and not for use in revert-wars or for reverting good-faith edits. You may also wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback for additional information and practice. Good luck. Acalamari 18:07, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I was just taking a look at that. Experimentation with this new toy will have to wait until tomorrow though, as it's way past my bedtime :)
Thanks once again, Gatoclass (talk) 18:11, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, and good night. :) Acalamari 18:13, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback response[edit]

Sure?  :) I realise that it's only for straight-up vandalism, but why not, if it'll make that easier? Thanks in advance. SKS2K6 (talk) 21:36, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted. :) As long as you understand it's for reverting vandalism, you'll be fine. For additional information and practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 21:40, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Featured articles[edit]

Hi Acalamari. I have a question: en.wp has a list of featured articles that doesn't exist in other languages? I would like to translate featured articles from here that doesn't exist at pt.wp. Greets, Slade (TheJoker) 00:37, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not totally sure what you mean. Are you asking for a list of all featured articles on the English Wikipedia? Acalamari 01:40, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean a list of fetaured articles on English Wikipedia that doesn't have a counterpart at Portuguese Wikipedia. Greets, Slade (TheJoker) 01:22, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not very familiar with the featured article process, to be honest. I think somebody like Raul654 or SandyGeorgia might be better to ask, as they're more involved with featured articles. Acalamari 01:32, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll ask ;) Slade (TheJoker) 15:43, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) Acalamari 16:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slade, I believe you want someone to prepare a list of FAs that don't have an interwiki to the Portuguese Wiki; is that correct? If so, I suggest you ask someone like Gimmetrow (talk · contribs) or Dr pda (talk · contribs) for help. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:48, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks SandyGeorgia; I originally directed Slade to you and Raul654 because I knew you both had experience in the featured article process, but if you know others who might be of more help, thanks. :) Acalamari 17:44, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is something that you need a bot for. See Wikipedia:Bot requests Raul654 (talk) 22:45, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure it's necessary now. Rick Block has provided Slade with a list. Acalamari 23:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: "Question", regarding rollback[edit]

My sincere apologies about the tardiness of my reply.

Well, first and foremost (or secondly?), allow me to thank you for your gracious offer. Now, to answer your question, sure why not, I guess, if it's alright with you. Hopefully one doesn't need to revert too much; but that's assuming the amount of vandalism and the rate at which vandalism is occurring decrease.

To satiate my curiosity, I shall pose a question asked above, "How exactly did you happen to come across my edits?"

Again, much thanks for the offer, and thanks in advance. Qwerty (talk) 11:51, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted. :) I came across you because my talk page was linked to from your user page. After finding you, I decided to review some of your edits, and decided that you would be a good person to grant rollback to. For additional information and practice on rollback, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 15:19, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see; it must have been the (incomplete) list of users I created, haha. Well then, thanks, Acalamari. I'll read up on rollback and how to responsibly use it ASAP. Again, much thanks. Qwerty (talk) 15:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. :) Good luck. Acalamari 15:44, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

incorrect image copyright tag[edit]

Hello again, Acalamari. The image used to illustrate today's featured aricle, Image:Impact_event.jpg, currently has an incorrect licensing tag. The image is protected from editing because it is in use on the main page. Can you please add the correct tag, {{PD-USGov-NASA}}, to the image for me? Thanks. J.delanoygabsadds 22:30, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the nasa tag is only for images entirely made by nasa (and therefore obtainable from it). The image in question took a nasa image and altered it. Ideally the Template:PD-retouched-user should be used, but since User:Fredrik isn't around anymore, and we can't alter his release under Template:PD-self, I'd say either add the PD-retouched under the PD self or just leave as is. MBisanz talk 02:00, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. So putting Template:PD-retouched-user underneath the PD-self tag would be correct then? Okay, thank you, MBisanz. Acalamari 02:04, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, both together would be best practice to me. MBisanz talk 02:06, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done it. Thank you for your help. Acalamari 02:09, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A quick deletion request[edit]

Please delete User:Molag's Ball. As I explained here, this is most definitely not a sockpuppet of Molag Bal or any other banned user. I already had this deleted once, and since you are both the creator of the page and the admin who undeleted it, this is your decision to make. Thank you, and best regards. Shalom (HelloPeace) 15:15, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-deleted. The only reason I tagged it as a sockpuppet of Molag Bal several months ago was because I found the account in the history of User:Molag Bal and assumed it was a sock of him. Regarding the restoration, that was done because I thought the deletion had been done by mistake, as I thought that a vandal had blanked the page. I apologize if this has caused you any trouble. Acalamari 15:36, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Your explanation is consistent with what I discovered by examining your actions, and I can see that you acted correctly in this case with the information available to you at the time. Shalom (HelloPeace) 15:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, and I'm glad my explanation was satisfactory. Acalamari 15:44, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mind?[edit]

No, of course I didn't mind! Thanks for tidying up after me, I got interrupted midway through the closure so I forget to preview... bah. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:57, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, heh, I've done the same before. :) You're welcome. Acalamari 16:01, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers[edit]

For the user talkpage revert. I really appreciated it considering the vandal was a mighty handful. Strange it seems he pleaded not to be blocked and yet continued. I wish one day I'll find a vandal who keeps their word...if that'll ever happen :). Thanks again AngelOfSadness talk 17:25, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome for the revert, and thank you for the cookie. :) Regarding vandals who say they'll stop their vandalism, almost every time they say that, it's just a cover so they can vandalize more. They'll say "I'll stop!", hope you'll turn your back on them, and then they'll return to vandalizing. :) I was beaten to the block though, but at least I got to do the revert. :) Acalamari 17:29, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Foolish vandals don't they know that we never turn our backs once we know they exist. They may aswell try to see is saying "Ooh there's an elephant behind you, if you look around know you'll see it" would work as a distraction. I was actually very surprised when you got beaten to the block as I had one eye on his contribution list (he had removed his name from the WP:AIV twice and that was well after the final warning) and the other eye on the block log. But you managed to beat me to the revert even though I was refeshing his contrib page every five seconds. :) 17:45, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes, whenever I spot a vandal, I refresh their contributions page every few seconds as well. :) Regarding being beaten to the block, I think was a little too slow at filling in the block form. Acalamari 17:52, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think Acroterion might have seen the dispruption at AIV(a minute before the vandal's final edit), and so blocked him the same minute the vandal left the oh-so-thoughtful message on my talkpage. AngelOfSadness talk 18:00, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think so too. :) I don't have AIV on my watchlist, so I wouldn't have noticed the disruption there. However, I do have your user and talk pages on my watchlist, hence why I reverted the vandalism. :) Acalamari 18:06, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure I think I have AIV on my watchlist to see the progress of my vandal reports and to keep an eye on other blantant vandals. But yes I have your talkpage and userpage on my watchlist just in case the odd vandal comes along and feels they have to voice their extremely important thoughts :) AngelOfSadness talk 18:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help here. :) Acalamari 18:24, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problemo and thank you. *starts to think we could be here all day thanking each other* :) AngelOfSadness talk 18:35, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Only if you want to. :) Acalamari 18:37, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it would be such a good idea, it's possibly what the vandals want us to do. First they cause disruption, get warned, attack another editor so someone else reverts it, gets blocked then this leaves the two editors thanking each other will vandals runs rampant. I'm on to their evil plan. They can't fool me, no way hose :) AngelOfSadness talk 18:42, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You reverted my change to this RFA and I wanted to mention to you that I did change my !vote before it closed, but while I was deciding on the best wording of my comment, it was closed and I was edit conflicted. Is there a problem if I revert back to show my opposition instead of support of said RFA? Useight (talk) 23:51, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine then: I only changed it because you're supposed to change votes after an RfA has closed (the same way you don't vote before transclusion). However, if you edit-conflicted with the closing, I'll change it back for you. Acalamari 23:54, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just saw that you changed it back. Yeah, I'm aware that you aren't supposed to !vote after it closed (kind of funny that you forgot the "aren't" in your comment), but it wasn't closed when I clicked "edit this page". I was just appalled when the candidate used incivility in his edit summary during an RFA and wanted to get my opinion across. Useight (talk) 00:01, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. - Isn't it getting about time for a talk page archive? :P Useight (talk) 00:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, forgot to preview my response, sorry about that! :) Anyway, I understand what happened with the RfA, and I've reverted changed my edits accordingly. Thank you also for being very calm about all of this. Regarding archiving, yes, that will need doing soon: I just have to contact a couple of editors first to wrap up a couple of discussions that took place here. :) Acalamari 00:06, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Irish Wiktionary[edit]

Hello Acalamari.

I'd like to inform you about an impostor on the Irish Wiktionary who's chosen your name. If you'd like to usurp this account please contact me or another steward. Kind regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 00:18, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for telling me. Do you just perform the rename, and I then re-create the account to take it for myself? Acalamari 01:41, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That'd be the easiest way but it could happen that your account would be impersonated a second time which happened to my account on simple. Otherwise I'd rename the account, create it by myself and send you the passwort. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 09:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do whichever you think would be best then: if you rename the account, just let me know, and I'll go over there to recreate it; but if you'd prefer to rename the account, recreate it, and send me the password which I can then change, that's fine with me. Acalamari 15:48, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've renamed the impostor, created an account with your name and sent you a mail with the password. Please change this password and the mail adress which I've deposited as security. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 20:27, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Im pleading with you as an admin to help on the case of the article Rudolph Valentino. Im glad its locked; but Im very annoyed its locked on the troll's version. If you check out the last version I edited you'll see I used verifiable good sources. User: Kevin_j has not. He has also left me several harassing messages which are viewable on my talk page. I did my best to keep my cool; but I must say I dont think very highly of him after his actions (the whole edit war started when I reverted one of his 100s of edits; because it was written unencyclopediacly. He took that as a challenge and has been bugging me since).

My reason for wanting my version? First his sources (Noel Botham, "Valentino: The First Superstar", and Spring Asher, "Wooing and Winning Business" are not reliable for the article. Emily Leider's biography "Valentino: Dark Lover" is considered the most reliable Valentino source and it is what I have used.

My other complaints are he has removed information that is relevant and sourced for no apparent reason: such as deleting the fact Valentino wasted all his money upon his arrival in New York (revelant because its what drove him to dancing; then movies). He also seems offended by the Fairbanks/Valentino comparisons though this is again sourced by many books and sites (I'll add more if wished). He also removed a line about Hayakawa and Wong though there is no apparent reason why. Its relevant because they were both ethnic actors; who expierenced trouble like Valentino. This is again cited but now removed because of his edits.

And my BIGGEST complaint is his line about talkies which he keeps putting in quite literally to spite me. I find this something hard to make 'encyclopediac' as Valentino never recorded sound on film; and never most likely intended to as he died the year The Jazz Singer (the film that brought on the talkie revolution) was released. So to really say which way or the other (talkies would have killed or helped his career) is extremely difficult. And the line 'he had a squeaky voice' makes me maddest of all as I can prove myself this was not true. Valentino made 2 song recordings in his life, "Kashmiri Love Song" and "El Relicaro". You can hear them yourself at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/rudolphvalentino . He did not have a squeaky voice; he in fact had a deep baritone with a heavy Italian accent. So whether this would have went all Garbo or not is really unknown and why I feel at the LEAST that sentence needs to go. Its source isnt even a book about Valentino!!!

The reason it's on Kevin j's version is because that happened to be the version of the page at the time of my protection. If I had reverted to your version, and then protected the page, that would be abuse of the admin tools on my part, as I would be taking part in the dispute, and protecting the page to my favored version. Regarding the dispute itself, I suggest you both discuss on the talk page, and head to dispute resolution if necessary. Thank you. Acalamari 15:51, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, Please Don't Buy the Nonsense Thegingerone is telling you about me[edit]

This user continues to violate the neutral point of view policies. Earlier this user said Valentino had $20,000.00 when he came to America. Also, singing voices do not determine one's natural voice. Look at Jim Nabors, for example. This user has also refused to talk to me recently as well.Kevin j (talk) 17:03, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I only fully-protected the page temporarily, and I am not taking anyone's side here. As I suggested to Thegingerone above, discuss on the article's talk page for how to settle the situation, and if it becomes necessary, go to dispute resolution. In fact, seek a third opinion if you need one. Thanks. Acalamari 17:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa, I'm an admin[edit]

How Dare You Consider Me Equally Responsible as Thegingerone[edit]

Read our edits, and yes, you will see one-sided vandalism from Thegingerone that: hypes Valentino for being a better lover than Fairbanks; that some facts about his criminal record are just unproven rumors; and that Valentino came to America with $20,000.00 I want justice, and I don't appreciate bigotry.

Thegingerone is not vandalizing, see Wikipedia:Vandalism to read up on what vandalism is. I gave advice on what to do to resolve the situation, and coming to my talk page with headers such as How Dare You Consider Me Equally Responsible as Thegingerone do not help the situation. Acalamari 18:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, I know the Vandalism Policy and yes, the user is doing It[edit]

Read the content in page history better, A lot of vandalism has been done with POV accusations. The user violates the neutral point of view policy. This person has also written like an egomaniac on the talk pages, thinking his/her writings are always accurate. Egos like Thegingerone obviously think they're always writing right. The user recently also vandalized the Pollyanna page, by saying that the film was the major turning point in Mary Pickford's career. I don't like prejudice accusations sir, and the thought I have that you assume I'm just another person engaged in an edit war offends me; I'm not saying you do think this way, the possibility ticks me off. Please read content before you determine how badly somebody is at fault. ThanksKevin j (talk) 19:08, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy First Day of Spring![edit]

Ah, thank you very much! :) Happy First Day of Spring to you too! Acalamari 22:13, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I Don't Want You To Get The Wrong Idea About Me[edit]

I only said the thought of it offends me. I know you haven't complained, but I'm just adding this in case you get the wrong idea. I do want justice. Thank you.Kevin j (talk) 23:51, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have no negative feelings towards you at all: I only suggested to both you and Thegingerone was that you discuss on the article's talk page about what to do: it's a very reasonable suggestion. I haven't "blamed anyone" for the dispute. Acalamari 23:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk on Renaming page[edit]

How long does it usually take to rename a user. I noticed you were a clerk on the page... Thanks = ) --Camaeron (t/c) 15:51, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It depends when the bureaucrats are around: sometimes it takes a few hours to have a request answered, other times, a few days. WP:CHU is unpredictable that way. Acalamari 15:57, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much. I see you around quite a bit you know. Keep up the good work! --Camaeron (t/c) 16:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, and thank you for the compliment! :) Acalamari 16:02, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

my RFA[edit]

Thank you!

Thank you for your support in my RFA. The passed with a final count of (73/3/1), so I am now an administrator. Please let me know if at any stage you need help, or if you have comments on how I am doing as an admin. Have a nice day! :) Aleta Sing 19:31, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Rollback[edit]

Hello. I believe you're the admin who approved my rollback request. While I do appreciate it, I am asking that you remove the rollback feature from my account, as I have now been reverting vandalism with Twinkle. Thank you very much! --On the other side Contribs|@ 22:57, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying: I've been offline the last couple of days. Are you sure you want rollback removed for the reason you requested? MediaWiki rollback can be used alongside Twinkle, and many people who have Twinkle also have rollback. It's up to you, of course, but I just wanted to confirm. Acalamari 16:13, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Camaeron[edit]

I wasnt really too fond of the new name...and I dont really want to get stuck with one I wont like in a few days. The people at "changing username" have enough work on their hands by the look of it =) --Camaeron (t/c) 18:10, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. :) I wonder where those bureaucrats have gone. Acalamari 18:17, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have decided to usurp one instead! Hopefully there are more bureaucrats around there! --Camaeron (t/c) 23:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, Disputes Have Not Been Resolved, And I Ask That the Protection Remain[edit]

Thegingerone, from my estimation, clearly thinks her(as a discovered on the Valentino talk page that the user is female) opinions are accurate. I do not support this ignorance on her part in any given way.Kevin j (talk) 19:20, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: With rollback[edit]

On a second thought, I will keep the rollback feature just in case Twinkle isn't working so this way, I have a backup tool for reverting vandalism. Cheers! --On the other side Contribs|@ 20:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine then: in fact, the reason for your keeping it is the same reason I decided to confirm if you did want it removed or not. :) Best wishes. Acalamari 20:21, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey its meee again![edit]

Sorry dont want to keep you too long but could you please take a look at this Wikipedia_talk:Changing_username/Usurpations#Wierd_situation and if possible answer on my talk page! Thanks so much (again!)...--Camaeron (t/c) 23:30, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seems it got answered already! :) Acalamari 01:32, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback denial[edit]

So you denied me rollback because I was blocked at the time for edit warring, which is a pretty obvious reason for denial. While I’m not going to deny that I was inappropriately edit-warring, I think it was an unfair blocking, (it was my first time, I received no warning, it was only two reverts, and I was making an honest effort to resolve the dispute). However, I was wondering what I would need to do before putting in again for rollback. Thanks. --Irn (talk) 00:51, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, rollback is for reverting vandalism/blatant spam only, and not for reverting good-faith edits or for use in content disputes/revert wars. The best thing to do would either be to wait for a month or two, and re-apply then; or, I could grant it to you now (after a review of your anti-vandalism work), but only if I have your guarantee that you'll use rollback for reverting vandalism, and that you understand it's for that use. Remember that rollback can be removed as easily as it can be given. Acalamari 01:38, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I requested it because I’ve been reverting a bit of vandalism at Khoury, and it was just rather ironic that I got into an edit war eslewhere when my request was in. I absolutely understand that it’s for reverting vandalism, which is why I want it. And I give you my guarantee that I’ll only use rollback for reverting vandalism.--Irn (talk) 02:13, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After a review of some of your anti-vandalism work, and after your guarantee and understanding of rollback's use, I believe you'll use rollback correctly. For information on rollback, you may wish to see Wikipedia:Rollback feature and Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. In the meantime, be careful, and good luck. Thank You[edit]

Thank you very much for your barnstar.I am still learning a lot.I am really honoured to get one from one of the best editor sna admins in Wikipedia.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 21:11, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
