Nelk[edit]

Hey. While your recent move was obviously performed in good faith, the titles of articles about subjects which are stylized in all caps are in lowercase. The stylization is clarified in the lead of the article. See Lego or Bearpaw (brand) for examples. I undid your move for that reason. Kind regards, Hillelfrei talk 05:06, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Abobeck11: Hello, friend. I didn't want to cause a fuss or seem like a problem editor, I just wanted to quickly discuss this, if you didn't mind. So, the sentences right now are All three cameras support Night Mode for both photo and video in low-light settings. Night Mode video supports up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second and mine was All three cameras support Night Mode for both photo and video in low-light settings, as well as video support for up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Now, the issue for mine was it was too wordy, correct? The issue for yours that I saw was that we specify that night mode has 4K60fps, but only night mode and don't state that it is the cameras themself and not just the mode. Is there a way that you could think of that isn't too wordy but is a bit more specific? Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 00:04, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@EDG 543: I think it makes sense how it is. The words "up to" indicate that that's the highest resolution it supports, but not necessarily the only resolution. Hope that makes sense! Abobeck11 (talk) 00:13, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@EDG 543:, my bad - I see the issue now. I'll clarify the non-Night Mode resolution as well. Abobeck11 (talk) 00:23, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, ok. Thank you very much, that is much better. I hope I wasn't a bother! Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 00:38, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@EDG 543:, it's all good! I like it better this way too. Abobeck11 (talk) 00:39, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

April 2021[edit]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Nelk. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:50, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn’t the one who originally added it, but fair enough. I reinstated it because your edit summary didn’t really explain why. What’s terrible about the rest of the article? Abobeck11 (talk) 18:24, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I thought that it was clear enough: a very odd note about who's someone's lawyer with a YouTube video and a link to the lawyer's website. That's textbook promotion. Terrible? Just look at the text and the sourcing for "Content and brand"--it is not up to par for an encyclopedia. The second paragraph of "Members" is just chatter. Same with the third paragraph, complete with YouTube stuff. And the rest of the article is a list of factoids, with no narrative or organization, with similarly poor sourcing. It needs work. Drmies (talk) 23:42, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There are 43 references in the article, only 6 of which come from YouTube. The article seems pretty organized to me. Second paragraph of “Members” is focused on Sebastiani’s previous vs. current role in NELK, none of the sources which come from their YouTube channel. Third paragraph only has one source from YouTube to cite Gasparini’s return, which is necessary to properly state all the members of the group. Maybe the “History and Legal Issues” section has a bit too much unsourced information now that I’m looking at it, but it’s definitely fixable, not cause for deletion. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make it more encyclopedic. Abobeck11 (talk) 15:39, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Apple Maps. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

I have warned both you and the individual reverting your edits. You should discuss the wording on the talk page. –DMartin 06:29, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Dmartin969. I'd like to add that, per WP:ONUS, the onus is on you to gain consensus for re-adding the content. As this was likely not done with the intent to harm the encyclopedia, it wasn't "vandalism", and it certainly wasn't "obvious vandalism" that would have been necessary to justify your WP:AIV report. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:20, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello to you both,
I'd like to give more context about this person behind this IP address (and other dynamic ones: [1][2][3], see also Wikidata (where they are blocked) and other wikis).
This person go constantly into an endless edit war (until the other user give up) when they don't agree with an edit, without giving any explanation (well, except here but that's the exception) or go to the talk page.
So I'm not sure if their edits are done in good faith.
Regards. --Thibaut (talk) 18:32, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. Thank you very much for providing detailed context, Abobeck11. I'd say that these changes are clearly made in good faith. However, they may be disruptive, specifically because they ignore community concerns about their editing, and because they edit war to push them through. It is hard to deal with unregistered editors if their IP address changes frequently and they ignore warnings, but never disrupt Wikipedia strongly enough to justify a non-warning block.
If the behavior persists, creating a discussion at WP:ANI about their edits is probably the best approach. Please notify me if this happens. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:44, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
