Welcome!

Hello, Aashaa, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Dusc, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Speedy deletion of Dusc[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dusc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Bangladeshi Cyclists[edit]

Is there any reason why you deleted this line:

Other than cycling events the group also organizes several social and community events throughout the country such as the 64 Good Acts or the Eid Mubarak Ride where the members of the group distributed gifts to the less privileged people, especially the less privileged children in Dhaka.

The statement had references. Please kindly explain what made you delete the line. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ridwanq (talkcontribs) 12:06, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rangpur Cadet College[edit]

Can you explain why you have deleted the prefect list. Do you know how many cadets put their efforts put to make the list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.160.103.42 (talk) 15:30, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear,Wikipedia is not a place for promoting the personal information from various institution. Do you personally think, you search the prefect list at wikipedia???You can look this page on Harvard College. You find that there is no name of chancellor or board of directors name in the page! College Prefect is not such a post or rank that is necessary to provide in the Wiki. The wiki policy is same for all. Please read the Privacy Policy. I am sorry that cadets put their efforts put to make the list. But, a wikipedia page is not the place for website information.

File permission problem with File:Panta Vaat Hilsha Fish with VariousVarta 2012.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Panta Vaat Hilsha Fish with VariousVarta 2012.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:27, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2012 Time 100 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nomination of 2012 Time 100 for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article 2012 Time 100 is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Jezhotwells (talk) 10:11, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We noticed though that when you edited Prothom Alo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Matiur Rahman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Alfaz Ahmed has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. j⚛e deckertalk 04:13, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Khaled Khan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dhaka Elevated Expressway, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.bba.gov.bd/projects/ongoing-projects/dhaka-elevated-expressway-ppp-project/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Hello Aashaa!! The reason you mentioned for reverting the article is not clear. Those things you deleted were description of the facts and inner infrastructure about the university. More particularly, you deleted the description of faculties, programs, student organisations as well as the infrastructural things which were advertisement in no way.

Moreover, as you are a Bangladeshi and if it looks adversity to you, you should take a look on other leading engineering universities such as BUET, KUET, SUST. Those topics were written in same way. And all after this, if the topic looks promotive to you then you may tone down the promotive things rather than deleting the major portion of description about it. Hope you will understand.

For further discussion please don’t hesitate and you may also leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. OFarMash (talk) 17:50, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:BBCBanglaWebsite.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:BBCBanglaWebsite.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Begoon 23:25, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019[edit]

Hello Aashaa. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Aashaa. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Aashaa|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GSS (talk|c|em) 17:34, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You still have not responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying you may be blocked from editing. Yunshui  10:02, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand the reason of blocking. I read the notability guidelines of wikipedia. I would definitely more concern about the articles. Most of articles are sourced and referenced from local news links, it'd look like promotion. I understand the facts of blocking. I would definitely more conscious about the concern.

Decline reason:

It is not enough to state that you understand, you must demonstrate your understanding by explaining the reason for the block, how you will act differently in the future, and what you will edit about if unblocked. Specifically, you have not yet address the paid editing and conflict of interest issues raised. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:44, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Last few months I've editing engagement on some page. I created the the page on "Airposted", Here is the Draft link; I find the information from an american website, the startup founders is from Bangladesh. As a Bangladeshi, this types of information is widely accessed by the Bangladeshi reader. So I try to developed the page. Earlier, I was doing some Bangladeshi American related articles. On the account of Paid Articles and Notability issues, I would like to describe that I have no financial or monetary relationship with the institution, even I don't know or have no connection with the people related to the articles. Before that, I was editing a newspaper Article, which is blocked here in Bangladesh. As a journalist, I always try to see the newspaper articles on Wikipedia. When I find the page, I saw some information gap. So I try to updated the information with references. The newspaper isn't publishing now, there is no financial engagement with me. Again, I contributed some information on a magician, who is very popular here in Bangladesh. From a national event I find his information and updated it. I don't even know the magician personally. And, prior, I edit the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_City_Bank and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jannatul_Ferdous_Oishee; both of the page are really notable here is Bangladesh. I would like to say that, I don't have any financial and PR engagement with any people or institution on creation of wikipedia articles. It's almost 12 years, I'm with the journey of wikipedia. On the block issues, I would more and more cautious about the creation of local articles. I know some articles has no global interest, rather the post would relevant to the regional area. I would more engage myself to upload photos and videos then creating articles on Bangladeshi people and institution. On the issue of Paid Articles and Conflict of interest, I would say clearly, I don't have any single engagement with anyone or any institution on creating any page. I independently create the articles from independent source. There is no request, no asking, no financial or any kind of engagement. Aashaa (talk) 07:54, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. Request reason:

I would like to draw attention to review my statement again. Due to blocking, I wouldn't edit a lots of page related to Bangladesh. During this blocking period, I'm focusing on Commons Contribution by uploading photos. It's almost 4-5 months of blocking, and I would like to draw kind attention to my statement again. Request reason:

It's my request to review the unblocking request. I am an independent writer and researchers, I would clearly say again, I had no financial, advertisement connection with any parties. Against this notice, if someone consider my other wikipedia involvement: Bengali & Commons. By this time I missed a lot of opportunity of corrections and editing. This is my humble request to unblock. Aashaa (talk) 5:11 am, 9 July 2020, Thursday (1 month, 8 days ago) (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

Based on what I'm seeing in your edits here and your edits on Commons, I do not believe unblocking you would be a net gain to this project. I see communication concerns (I'm guessing you're typing in your native language and using a translation tool?), copyright concerns at Commons, and the overall concerns here about the types of articles oyu're making/edits you're making. only (talk) 18:02, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Airposted, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
  • It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of business.gmu.edu/news/1264-management-senior-launches-peer-to-peer-shipping-company. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
