Your user page[edit]

I have deleted your user page. It is intended for basic information about yourself or your Wikimedia-related activities. Although a lot of leeway is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not a personal website, blog, or social networking medium, nor should it be used to promote yourself, or host a fake article, CV, or lengthy biography.

Friendly advice from a veteran: Help Wikipedia by contributing to various articles before you try to promote yourself with a biographical user page which is intended to look like an encyclopedia article. You listed your "achievements", your various remixes by year, your leadership at the Panache School of Sound, your "official" role in remixes associated with a Hollywood film, your Bollywood remixes, etc.; all of it self-promotional. At Wikipedia, there is a lot more leeway given to helpful contributors. With your only interest being your user page, you have not demonstrated your value to the project.

At Wikipedia:User pages, especially WP:UP#PROMO and WP:USERBIO, the guideline says that your user page should not contain too much information that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Anna Frodesiak was correct in removing your user page, per Wikipedia:Userpage#User_pages_that_look_like_articles.

Note that my user page at User:Binksternet, which describes my life outside of Wikipedia but also within Wikipedia, was fairly simple, without any biographical details, until I had been editing for six years, after which I personalized it. Binksternet (talk) 19:49, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
