Hmm. So this subject is a family member? Please disclose your COI properly; it's explained in the policies and guidelines I linked above. Please edit neutrally and, just as importantly, provide proper secondary, independent, reliable sources, particularly in articles on living people. Thank you. hi - the subject is a friend who's page was not up to date, Im simply trying to update it. Are you able to assist me in linking sources? His latest playbill for the national theatre lists all the detail i added - as does his agent's listing etc ANM143 (talk) 17:45, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Had also noticed this as a precedent for detail - on Thomas Aldridge's page. The detail on the Olivier Awards as follows -

In 2017, Aldridge took on the role of Ron Weasley in the West End play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre, London. That year Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was nominated for a record breaking eleven Laurence Olivier Awards, winning nine. Making it the most awarded and most nominated show in the history of the Laurence Olivier Awards. A record it still holds today.

This is the original cast production Paul Thornley was part of rather than Thomas Aldridge who took the part over in 2017. Not sure I understand why it was taken down on Paul Thornley's page and not on Thomas Aldridge's. ANM143 (talk) 17:53, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

I wasn't editing that page. You're welcome to remove it from that page if you think the same applies. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan site or a collection of links: information needs to be verified by reliable secondary sourcing. See WP:RS. But I don't understand--from family member to friend? What COI editors need to do above all is be transparent. Having a COI is not like having the plague--but I can't tell from your comments that you actually looked at the guidelines and policies linked above.Drmies (talk) 18:26, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

I really am not trying to cause offence - simply put accurate detail up. I have not done this before. Can you help me add in sources?

Morning - I am a friend of the subject, that is my COI. I am not an agent or a manager or a publicist. His wiki page has been out of date for so long, every time I looked at it to see if it had been updated I noticed it had not been. I wanted to try and update it myself but clearly am flying blind. I would gratefully receive help - I am able to provide references/citations (is that the term?) that authenticate changes that I would suggest be made. I did not intend to revert to unacceptable content without explanation or sources - I simply didnt realise how to do this and how to show clarity to the updates.
