Disambiguation link notification for January 11[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Las hilanderas[edit]

Grazas Amperio, the thing is there are different versions in Commons with the same title, which leads to confusion, there exist even copies officially acknowledged as such, like the one showcased with a didactic purpose in the itinerant Museo del Pueblo during the period of the Republic. Thanks anyway for your notice and participation, will double check the table later. Iñaki LL (talk) 19:30, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:56, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Alexandra Feodorovna (Alix of Hesse)[edit]

Hey there,

Can you see this message all right? I'm looking at the sections in the article that look like large copy-pasted quotes from Massie's book.

This is an example of the suspicious text from the Alexandra Feodorovna (Alix of Hesse) page (sub-section 'Execution'):

"Tuesday, 16 July 1918 passed normally for the former imperial family. At four o'clock in the afternoon, Nicholas and his daughters took their usual walk in the small garden. Early in the evening Yurovsky sent away the fifteen-year-old kitchen boy Leonid Sedinev, saying that his uncle wished to see him. At 7 p.m., Yurovsky summoned all the Cheka men into his room and ordered them to collect all the revolvers from the outside guards. With twelve heavy military revolvers lying before him on the table he said, "Tonight, we shoot the entire family, everybody." Upstairs Nicholas and Alexandra passed the evening playing bezique; at ten thirty, they went to bed." [1]

I have searched the Massie book, and found no such paragraph; Massie's description of the days leading up to the killings has all of the same appropriate basic information, but it's rendered completely differently. I'm not sure if the book I have is a revised edition; it might explain the blatant changes in wording.

Alternatively, is it possible it came from a different book, perhaps the Greg King book cited in the references. King's and Massie's books are the only sources provided. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of King's book myself, but I can always buy a copy if you'd like to work on fixing the article with me and/or a sysop.Sdsures (talk) 01:51, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
