First, it looks like you're right about the changes you made at 2021 World Wushu Championships. I agree with you: the templates should not be expanded. However, please note two things for going forward with your editing.

  1. This is not a case of pure disruption, so WP:3RR applies. If your edits are reverted—especially if it's by multiple editors—then it's time to open discussion at the talk page.
  2. I'm an admin with 15-ish years of experience on Wikipedia, but that doesn't give me the prerogative to run roughshod over the system. Since multiple editors have opposed the change, I've started a discussion about the situation at the talk page (Talk:2021 World Wushu Championships#Why are the navboxes subst'ed?). Note that I've focused on the matter at hand (even if I didn't link to guideline pages like you did) and invited a response to get some dialogue. I hope there will be a very quick "you're right, we shouldn't expand the infoboxes", but I'm going to wait for the replies before I make the change.

I invite you to keep editing, since it looks like you have a grasp of editing guidelines. However, please remember that Wikipedia is a collaborative project, so you have to work with other editors in improving articles. It's not always an easy process, but in the end, it can be a rewarding one. —C.Fred (talk) 22:25, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you! It seems you are the first editor here who understand my edits. Great! 91.124.116.230 (talk) 22:31, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
