I only saw him speak once in that election. I was president of a Young Democrats organization at a Kentucky University. When he gave that speech I was devestasted. Riding on his coattails wasn't going to get me anywhere. He just wasn't a great speaker. This was Vietnam era & he was utterly boring. :([edit]
