Welcome![edit]

Hello, 47rx374rgx36, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Burhan Wani have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

August 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Burhan Wani. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 14:10, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kautilya3 I just reverted your edit once and added sources to my reverted edits. Now please don't start an edit war by reverting my legitimate edits.--47rx374rgx36 (talk) 14:15, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, you can't decide your own edits to be "legitimate" while also adding WP:POV labels like "occupied". If you stick to the policies, you will be fine. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 14:17, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ARBIPA sanctions alert[edit]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Net worth in infoboxes[edit]

Hi, I think we have discussed earlier here that net worths should not be added to infoboxes, especially when they are dubious. This one is for sure unreliable, even though it comes from a RS. --Saqib (talk) 15:19, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Saqib I'm sorry if I didn't provide proper source. But please don't remove properly sourced (u haven't). Not even Forbes tell the exact amount. So let me add I will be careful sourcing--47rx374rgx36 (talk) 19:08, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Jeremy McLellan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No WP:RS that demonstrate notability, those given appear to be poorly-written PR/propaganda sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
