Information icon Hello, I'm Katieh5584. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Russell Malone, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. October 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm Turgan. I noticed that you made a change to an article, James Lipton, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Turgan Talk 20:26, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

December 2016[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to USS Yorktown (CV-5), but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 00:49, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Marital rape[edit]

Please do not change again the classification of Ivory Coast and please read the talk page of the article marital rape to understand how it is structured. Countries listed as "yes" are countries where a spouse can be charged with the rape of the other spouse. It is not necessary for the country to have a specific marital rape law (ie. a law called "Marital rape" or any other explicit mention) it is only sufficient for the rape law not to have a marital exemption (ie. for the crime of rape not to be defined as "forced sexual intercourse outside of marriage" or similar). For you to understand, just because in a country "marital murder" is not specifically criminalized (ie. there is no law called "Marital murder" or no law saying "Marriage is not a defense to a charge of murder" or "A spouse can be charged with the murder of the other spouse" it does not mean that the 'ordinary' murder law cannot be applied). Of course, with the crime of rape there is a problem of knowing the jurisprudence of each country which makes things much more complicated (see the talk page) but the table is structured this way because it was agreed by consensus. The article too explains the complexities of the subject.

The source (which is used by consensus - again see talk) for the table says:

Does legislation explicitly criminalize marital rape? No
If not, can a wife file a complaint against her husband for rape or sexual assault? Yes (Code Pénal, Art. 354) 2A02:2F01:5DFF:FFFF:0:0:6465:58D0 (talk) 16:55, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
