THERE ABSOLUTELY NO CONSENSUS ! So tell me, if you are so smart and if there is a consensus, why on these pages the flags of BLR and RUS haver been removed : Template:Top ten tennis players (it is a ranking by the way and no flags !) and here Sabalenka has no flags : 2023 WTA Tour#Prize money leaders. Here and here no flags : 2023 ATP Finals#Singles 2 and 2023 WTA Finals#Singles, no flags and these are rankings ! So tell me ? I am waiting an answer. Is it your so called consensus ? Where everybody put the flags or not wherever they want or not ? Be realistic there is absolutely no consensus, you're just mad that someone want to homogeneize the whole thing but you don't want someone to touch "your articles". Please stop the battleground attitude, it will not serve you well here. There is consensus here that we use the flags for the rankings articles. As for the other articles I can only say I don't know. In my opinion the flags should be there, especially for the Top ten article. The finals articles you mention show a player next to all the tournament wins. The tournaments should have no flags so perhaps that one is a little iffy. Per the WTA, ITF, ATP no Russian/Belarus flags for any tournament starting March 1, 2022. No Russian/Belarus teams in at all in Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup. Nothing was said about rankings in print. We know their software limitations so their site is unreliable for the icons in things other than tournaments so we look at other reliable sources like ESPN and those sites mostly use the flags.
