December 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Trainsandotherthings. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Rutland Railroad, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 00:02, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Thanks for the quick reply. Other sources include all of my own Rutland RR books; my personal experiences with its history since the 1950’s; etc., etc. if you will call me now , I can justify every word of every change: (828)297-7823. Only other way is an email to me at: donpevsner@skybest.com 2600:1004:B164:7205:9411:5BD:E6BF:C05E (talk) 00:24, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have inserted sources to all changes. I hardly call sourced corrections “vandalism”. What is your problem? Do you prefer a sloppy article with major fact omissions and wretched timeline due to sloppy prior edits by others? Reply in Talk section; I do not knoe what a “sandbox” is! 2600:1004:B164:7205:9411:5BD:E6BF:C05E (talk) 02:04, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PS: A second editor deleted my new sourced text one hour ago, AFTER I established a working relationship with the first deleting editor! Would the first editor please contact the second one and get my 12/14 corrections on and keep them in? Editor 2 seems to think improving edits by prior editors is “Vandalism”. This is a warped attitude that totally betrays the enttite goal and spirit of Wikipedia. I WANT ARBITRATION IMMEDIATELY if editors like Editor 2 refused to “get with the program” due to ego and spite. 2600:1004:B164:7205:9411:5BD:E6BF:C05E (talk) 02:13, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Th78blue:, please see the discussion at Talk:Rutland Railroad, and cut this new editor some slack. User:EEng and I are working with him to help him understand how citing sources works on Wikipedia. I appreciate you being vigilant, but this editor was acting in good faith. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 02:28, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! This was some hours ago anyway. Thanks! Th78blue (They/Them/Their • talk) 02:30, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Walkway over the Hudson, you may be blocked from editing. MSA09 (talk) 02:57, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
