Allahabad[edit]

I understand what you said about Allahabad. I've already cut out much of the content I had initially added. I've only retained major content, like thow the city got its name, founding of modern Allahabad, major wars, also tried to fill in some gaps between Xuanzang's visit to Prayag and foundation of Allahabad. MonsterHunter32 (talk) 04:48, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for positive response. It's just that sometimes article lose its GA status if it contains un-sourced things. But you are adding good things, meanwhile make sure you have references ready to justify what sentence claims. Thanks again.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  08:53, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Indira Gandhi into Foreign policy of the Indira Gandhi premiership. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Hello there, thanks for your note. I have simply copied and pasted from actual Indira Gandhi article. Moreover, this link is dead. So I am quite not sure. Let me know if I am missing something.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  16:57, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, 25 Cents FC This link is live, beside this link1(92 percent copy matched) and link3 (90 percent copy matched) has been reported. Please rewrite the article, to avoid deletion as per WP:CV. Amkgp (talk) 17:06, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As far as both the links are concerned, if you look it closely, that blog had copied everything from wikipedia including reference number. Second link copied everything from wikipedia article again. In order to understand, for instance, second link's Early life and career section; none of the sentence used second as a reference in Indira Gandhi's Early life and career section. In a nutshell, there is huge possibility that both the sites have copied content from wikipedia article. Please let me know if you have got any doubts. And FYI, actual article had all section mentioned in Domestic policy of the Indira Gandhi premiership. Please remove the tag if you have understood the point.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  17:16, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi, I've reviewed this case, due to an automated report here, and determine this content was moved from the Indira Gandhi article, which is perfectly within policy, with one caveat for 25 Cents: when reusing, copying, or moving content from one WP article to another, you need to have the edit summary note that. I've done that for the current state of the article, so in future if you would use a similar form of edit summary as that, that would be great. (e.g "Added content copied from Article Name, which see for attribution). The CC-BY -SA license likes it to look like that. Thanks! CrowCaw 20:57, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing sourced content from this article. Please discuss your changes on the article Talkpage before making major changes.I am particularly perplexed by your removal of academic sources.Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 21:46, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note mate. In fact, since you are top contributor of the article as well, I was about to ask you for help. As far as removal is concerned, I am in process of improving the article. Since this is my first attempt with regards to BLP, I may make few mistakes. I would appreciate your help in improving it. Thanks again.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  06:00, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Would gladly help but please stop removing sourced content or sources. Also Indira has been gone for more than 35 years so it is not a BLP article.Since she has been gone for such a long time, there are tons of academic sources on her so please use those rather than primary sources such as newspaper articles. Also let us try to maintain a Neutral tone in the article. I hope this helps. Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 19:00, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your wish to obtain GA status for the article but I don't want to see that at the expense of omitting important information. For example,Uttar Pradesh got GA status without a word on the Delhi Sultanate that ruled Uttar Pradesh region for over three hundred years. I added that information two years ago.Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 19:15, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We cannot add everything, every detail in an article, for that we can have main articles. Anyway, the article is under CE. May consider working on it again once CE is done. Cheers--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  19:30, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help mate. Is there any way we can reduce length of the article. It's very lengthy.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  11:16, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As it stands now the article's content has been decided by consensus. I would think to remove content you would need to do the same. This is not something GOCE editors undertake (except for obvious repetition). The article is well sub-divided so that a casual reader wanting specific detail about a particular period of her life will be able to find it without going through the whole thing. Twofingered Typist (talk) 12:11, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In order to know detail about a particular topic we can have main article for example Barack Obama. If we go through it only main information is mentioned and for detail main article is mentioned under the respective section.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  12:17, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox[edit]

User:25 Cents FC/sandbox appeared in self-closed tags lint errors, so I edited it, but I didn't save my changes because you were working on it at the same time and I didn't want to stomp on your edits. Please be aware of these points:

  • HTML tags such as <small> are closed with </small>, not <small/>, a self-closed tag, which is not allowed for this tag. Some tags can be self-closed, such as <nowiki/>, but not small.
  • The markup align="center" (with or without quotes, left/center/right) for table cells or rows is obsolete in HTML 5 and you should use instead style="text-align:center", and in this markup the quotes are not optional; you can also use left or right as appropriate.
  • The markup valign="top" (with or without quotes) is also obsolete and you should use instead style="vertical-align:top".
  • Please see MOS:PUNCT and the section following for how Wikipedia calls for straight apostrophes and quotation marks.
  • In some of your tables, for example the table below the heading "The Founding Years (1885-1900)", the bottom border is missing. This is because a table cell is marked with a rowspan that is too high. Rowspans should not be larger than the number of rows remaining in a table.

@Sahajitbro: Hi, thanks for reaching out to me. As of now I am in process of getting INC to GA status. I will try to find and add refs to Deewana in due time. Thanks--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 06:11, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Purvanchal Expressway[edit]

Hi, can you please have a look at article “Purvanchal Expressway”, an unexplained, repetitive sourced info removal is being done, I urged the user to take that to talk page, it has been three reverts, I also placed a three revert warning on his talk page, and again urged him to solve the issue by talk page discussion. It’s been more that three times, he is continuing to remove the referenced data. Kindly see. Thanks in advance. Shresthsingh71 (talk) 08:16, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • He might have misunderstood the project. I have left a note on articl'e talk page, pinged him as well.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 10:05, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
