Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 198.102.155.100, removed content from the page She: A History of Adventure without giving an explanation or discussing large removal of referenced material on the article's talk page. Please always provide an informative edit summary when removing content from pages. • I recommend that you get a username. Italic titles[edit]

Please understand the titles in the pages are already italic. You don't have to put the template again! Optakeover(U)(T)(C) 17:59, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:Optakeover, please compare your version with my version. do you see the text at the top below with two tabs, but above the diff notice? in your version the title is not in italics, in my version it is. per WP:ITALICTITLE this template should be used for works that should be italicised like operas. 198.102.155.100 (talk) 18:02, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh okay I understand now! Sorry! I'll help you to make them correct! Optakeover(U)(T)(C) 18:04, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
checkY Done! Please check if it's all correct now. Sorry! Optakeover(U)(T)(C) 18:11, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
(watching) Operas should normally have italic titles, those with an opera side template get it from the template (but now several were removed for redundancy), those with an infobox get it from that template. Consider adding infoboxea instead of just italic title, see Lucia di Lammermoor for a model ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:33, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
infoboxes would be great, but there may be some disagreement on whether or not an article should have an infobox. by the way, the automatic italics doesn't work in all cases like Ezio (Mysliveček) (1777) due to the double parenthetical. 198.102.155.100 (talk) 18:41, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is disagreement, and all in question obviously had someone who didn't like them, - or they would have one already. However, those where people were determined, the side navboxes were restored. Those with nothing in the right corner are so-so, middle ground, less determined. What I do is look who created, and if it was Folantin (French) or Smeat75 (Handel) I let it go, but otherwise I try, and worst case it's reverted, so what? I do Donizetti's now, skipping short ones. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:37, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
so much for uniform presentation of article content, even in a single genre like opera ... 20:39, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

Recent edit to Alahor in Granata[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you recently made a contribution to the Alahor in Granata article that seemed to be a test. Your test worked! However, test edits on live articles disrupt Wikipedia and may confuse readers. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Redactyll Social pub of talking 00:24, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Automated edits[edit]

Hello. I am noticing that you made about 300 edits (or more) on stubs describing operas. The edits on December 11 appear to be automated because they are being accomplished very fast. Are you using a bot to help you with editing? If so, which bot? And do you have permission to use a bot on Wikipedia? Thanks in advance. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 06:01, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
