Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Sexual abuse scandal in the English Benedictine Congregation into Catholic Church sexual abuse cases in Europe. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 01:09, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Re: impeachment[edit]

I’m not covering up anything. I’m just signifying the articles that were introduced were covered up in another section. Booyahhayoob (talk) 18:36, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which is why i stated in another edit summary type "covered in" instead of "covered up," which is what you typed. I now accept it may have been a typo.137.70.164.141 (talk) 18:40, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page List of terrorist attacks in Kabul has been reverted.
Your edit here to List of terrorist attacks in Kabul was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.republicworld.com/world-news/rest-of-the-world-news/isil-claims-attack-on-power-pylon-in-kabul-to-damage-main-electricity-line.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. April 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Flapper. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. LizardJr8 (talk) 21:24, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Loiseaulybre. Your recent edit(s) to the page Maginot Line appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. L'Oiseau Lybre (talk) 21:46, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm FozzieHey. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Nantucket, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. FozzieHey (talk) 21:53, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Nantucket, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 23:20, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Nantucket, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 23:20, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Loiseaulybre. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Doorbell, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to Booby trap, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 21:37, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 months for block evasion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 19:20, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@NinjaRobotPirate: I didn't used any IPs to evade any blocks, especially this one. I'm curious, what's your name? My name is Jerome Flynn.--137.70.164.141 (talk) 23:43, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I don't know why I was blocked from this IP, but this is shared IP. I'm in a library and my name is Jerome Flynn. I did many anonymous edits here and there are many others who would like to edit. Your block of 3 months will prevent people from using your source as a whole and contribute constructively. Thank you. I hope this block will be lifted because it was put in error.

Decline reason:

Unfortunately for your hopes, you did a very good job of explaining why we can't lift this block. Since anyone, as you noted, can go into the library and make edits, some people did who were trying to get around previous blocks that had been imposed on them or the IP addresses or ranges they edited from. And we noticed, and ... well, that's why you can't have nice things.

You can certainly edit anonymously from other IPs, if you prefer, or register an account. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:20, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
