Page protection for Senators[edit]

Please stop commenting at WP:RFPP to say that my requests for page protection for Senators look like "content disputes" that depend on election outcomes. You're making it sound like I'm contesting the elections. This is false, and you're clearly misinformed. A Senator does not cease to be in office immediately after an election. Their term has to expire, and a new senator has to be sworn in. There is a transition process. ― Tartan357 ^Talk 04:25, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RPP comments 2[edit]

Why are you questioning the requests? There doesn't seem to be a valid purpose. I clearly stated my reasons. I didn't mention vandalism (and if there was, I'd likely report to AIV instead). If you're curious, you can review the pages for yourself. Your questions can lead to thread derails, page bloat and possible needless delays. Hence the reason I'm responding here instead of there, and if you must reply, then do so here as well. Thank-you - wolf 05:14, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, not every protection request is due to vandalism. It can be for other reasons, and hopefully the user posting the request will clarify that, as I believe I did in my request. If you have questions about a specific rpp request, its best to ask the user about it on the article talk page.
