WP:RFPP
Re our discussion at WP:RFPP permalink (now archived): It's generally not possible to take a lot of time to investigate the many requests so it was not a good idea to say that the IP was "engaging in unexplained removal of content". The IP gave an excellent reason for their edit (even if it was wrong, it was most definitely not "unexplained"), and warnings such as those seen at the IP's talk don't explain why your edits were good. Also, I can't see anything relevant on article talk. When the IP edited the article, the hidden comment for genre was "Please only add genres if they are backed by reliable sources (reviewers and writers, not band members) and *address the album as a whole and NOT just individual songs*; they WILL be removed otherwise

- Thank you for getting back to me, Johnuniq, as I know you must be busy. My issue is that despite giving a reason for their edit, it still disregarded the facts. Their edits were "unexplained" since after being told that the content was sourced in the body, the IP undid my edit with the summary: "
Include source when applying genre or its not valid
". What else can be said? They knew the citations were there, yet continued to remove the content anyway. Pretending the sources don't exist does not seem like a rational explanation for removing information. If that were the case, any one of us would be within policy to remove anything we don't like, as long as we claim it isn't sourced. Giacobbe talk 19:28, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
