Removing unreferenced statements[edit]

Hello, I am Eggishorn and I noticed this edit removing an entire section due to an Unreferenced Section tag that has only been there since May. I am left wondering if you have read the policy on removing maintenance tags. All of your edits since August, 2010 (which is nearly your entire editing history) have been similar large deletions for "unreferenced statements". Your most recent such deletion prior to editing the Abhazia article was also an "unreferenced statement" removal, despite the fact that most of what you removed was a reference. Both the Unreferenced and the Unreferenced Section tags state that unsourced material "may be challenged and removed". The policy on Verifiability does not require removal in non-BLP articles. That policy encourages talk page discussion and reference improvement as preferable to removal of material. I would suggest that you try those avenues before removing large sections of text. Thank you. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:02, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Eggishorn, I was wrong in both cases. Thank you for reverting. --דישנובה (talk) 20:54, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
