Winterwoo is a Canadian Wikipedian born in 1975. She holds a BFA from the University of Victoria and an MLIS from the University of British Columbia. She works as a librarian and copy editor.

So far, she has made small edits to just three articles: Devilock, a punk rock hairstyle popularized by The Misfits; Voodoo Doughnut, an independent doughnut shop in Portland, Oregon; and Enemy Mine, an album by the Canadian indie supergroup Swan Lake.
