Buttercup Bill is an upcoming American independent film scheduled for release in September 2015[1].

After the sudden death of her childhood play mate, Pernilla seeks comfort in her long lost lover Patrick, refueling their relationship in the deep rural south of America in an attempt to surpress her grief. As their reignited relationship descends into games of twisted sexual jealously a dark secret embedded in both of their pasts forces them both to reconsider the moral implications of their relationship and to question whether they truly belong together as lovers.

Background[edit]

Buttercup Bill was shot over the course of 16 days, primarily on location in New Orleans. The film’s production crew was comprised of an all female cast led at the helm by debuting directors Emilie Richard-Froozan and Remy Bennett, the granddaughter of American singer Tony Bennett[2]. The film is also the debut feature from Sadie Frost’s recently established production company Blonde to Black Pictures.[3]

Soundtrack[edit]

Music that was secured for the film was sourced from a number of musical artists including, EUC, Gino Washington, Hurray for the Riff Raff and Washington Phillips.
