My name is Trevor and I am currently a junior at Drake University with my concentration in Sociology. I am originally from Ottumwa, Iowa and hold an A.A. in Arts & Sciences as well as an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice from Indian Hills Community College.

Page Proposal - Youth in the Czech Republic

• After careful consideration, I have decided to start a page about the youth of the Czech Republic. I still plan on including an aspect of the criminal justice system such as arrest procedures, rates, etc. but I will also be able to thoroughly explore other aspects of the country to gain a full understanding of the position of youth and how each aspect relate to one another. Areas that I have found to investigate include: demographics, family, education, work, religion, crime, and health. These areas will give a better overall picture of youth life in the Czech Republic and provide for better appreciation of youth culture and challenges.
• Glancing through the Cowles Library database I have found several articles and e-books that cover the Czech Republic in an overall view but do include information about young people and youth. With a Google search I found a great report titled “Young People in the Czech Republic" that was written or translated to English by researchers from the country. With a little more searching, I feel as though I will be able to find many other resources from the library database as well as Google searches. I also plan to investigate sources included in other Wikipedia entries with hopes of finding relevant information.
• The topics mentioned above are not set in stone to include in the article. Upon doing my research, if I find another important topic to include I have no hesitation with doing so, especially if it is an integral part to the youth narrative of the Czech Republic. Whenever information is found, I will always follow the protocols set forth by Wikipedia on citation. I will not cite word for word out of any of my materials and will paraphrase in an encyclopedic way. If I’m uncertain of a citation, I will leave it in the sandbox to further investigate how to do it correctly.
