Eastbourne Royals Football Club is an English amateur football club, based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, that plays on saturdays in the East Sussex Football League, division 6. The club was founded in 2010 and is currently owned by the manager and the chairman.

In 2010 Eastbourne Royals Football club, in there first season, competed in the East Sussex Football League, division 6 and finshed 5th.

The chairman and secretary have recently been in talks with officials regarding joining the Lewes and District Football League, talks were completed on wednesday the 22nd of june 2010 and it will be confirmed to the chairman next month as to wether they are in the league.

Eastbourne Royals Football Club will have two teams competing under the same name but in different leagues, one will be in the saturday league (East Sussex Football League) and the other will be in the sunday league (Lewes and District Football League)[1]

2010/2011 season

Eastbourne royals first game of the season and as a team was against Catsfield II, were they lost 4-3 they then went onto lose the next two games 5-1 and 3-2. their first win of the season came in the form of a 9-4 smashing against parkfield and then a 6-0 whooping against The J C Tackleway III. parkfield got their revenge a week later and knocked them out of the Eastbourne Junior FA cup by beating them 4-1. but that did not stop The Royals who a week later beat Northiam 75 II 8-1 in the league and the following week they beat them in the Eastbourne Coach Finishers Challenge cup 8-4, to progress to the quarter finals. They went onto win 2 consecutive games but suffered deafeats after against West Hill United and Eastbourne Fishermans. they had their first draw of the season in a thrilling 5-5 match against Westfield III and then lost 3-0 to Castfield II. The Royals were drawn against new rivals Eastbourne Rangers FC In the qurter finals of the Eastbourne Coach Finishers Challenge cup, were they lost 2-1. They then went on to win 5 games out of 9 losing the rest.[2] This left them in a respectable 5th place out of 11 in their first season as a football club.
