AEGIS is a free text-based MMORPG created by Aarcsoft. It is the only free, award winning MMORPG without advertisements or banners on the Internet.[citation needed]
The objective for each player is to manage his/ her small province to supremacy; fighting, trading and using clever diplomacy to form a Kingdom and become the largest 'Aegis' in the game.
Gameplay[edit]
Aegis is free to play, with the extra option of donating to receive some small added bonuses. The game is turn-based, with players receiving one new turn per hour, with a limit of 100 turns stored at maximum. See Turn-based game for more information.
Normally, players would only log on to the game servers daily to take their turns and check the game forums to keep in touch with the community.

The word Aegis means protection; see Aegis for more details.
The Emperor is the maximum aegis of the land, he protects all, but is also prone to attack by all. The strongest players in this game will receive the aid of the weaker in return for protection, through their Kingdoms.
In Aegis the player starts of with a small province. and a set amount of resources. The goal is to choose wisely and build your province into a Kingdom for everyone to envy.
