The 'Backhouse Shuffle' is a dance move which was created by James 'busta-move' Backhouse (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=630045440&ref=ts) in early 2010 in a town on the suburbs of London; Watford. Despite being slow to catch on, it increased in popularity in late august 2010 after being mentioned on Watford's own radio station "Heart Hertfordshire". In the few weeks following it's mention; the popularity sky rocketed to the extent that it has now caught on across the Capital.

Where have i seen this before?

The Backhouse Shuffle is currently the most innovative, 'hip' and 'cool' dance move in and around the London area. It can be observed in clubs, occasionally in parks, festivals or when it was invented, at a house party.

Thats amazing!

No matter what the tune is, doesnt matter if youre black or white, you can always just do the 'Backhouse Shuffle' and grab everyones attention. Frequently it will cause others to join you in doing the 'Backhouse Shuffle' starting what could be the most awesome scene the world has ever seen.

So how do i do it?

The move itself is simple and very adaptable, it consists of a starting position or 2 hands in the air, one lower than the other, with your fingers almost making a 'gun' symbol. You then move your hips to the bassline, and alternate which hand is higher and which is lower, making sure your entire body is truly feeling the music. Its simply, yet brilliant.

So join the 'Backhouse Shuffle' and get all your mates dancing like a pro!!
