MF Ghost is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine since September 4, 2017[2]. Following Shigeno's previous work Initial D, MF Ghost is a continuation of the series[3] about motor sport racing in a world where self-driving cars are everywhere.
Story overview[edit]
Based in 2020s Japan[4], in a world where electric cars equipped with automatic driving systems have replaced the old combustion engines of the past. At the same time, a world renowned racing competition is held in Japan with the fastest motorcars competing one after another called MFG. Kanata Rivingston, a 19 year old genius driver who graduated from Royal Donington Park Racing school, comes to Japan to participate in the MFG. He is also returning to Japan to find his missing Japanese father.[5]
