| Der Seeparkturm ist ein 15 Meter hoher Aussichtsturm in Holzbauweise im Seepark in Freiburg im Breisgau. Er bietet einen guten Überblick über das ganze Parkgelände, die Stadt Freiburg mit dem Schwarzwald im Hintergrund und in Richtung Westen bis zum Kaiserstuhl. Er wurde 1986 anlässlich der Landesgartenschau auf einer kleinen Erhebung am Nordufer des Sees nach Plänen des Architekten Richard Kramer errichtet, die Baukosten betrugen damals 100.000 DM.
Am 14. Juni 2003 brannte der Turm infolge von Brandstiftung ab, der Täter wurde noch in derselben Nacht gefasst. Er wurde unter Verwendung des alten Ringfundaments nach durch den Architekten Richard Kramer und die Zimmerei Gampp aus Schluchsee neu aufgebaut. |
The Seepark Tower is a 15-meter-high observation tower built of wood in the Seepark in Freiburg im Breisgau. It provides a good overview of the entire park area, the city of Freiburg with the Black Forest in the background and westwards as far as the Kaiserstuhl. It was built in 1986 on the occasion of the Landesgartenschau (State Horticultural Show) on a small elevation on the northern shore of the lake according to the plans of the architect Richard Kramer. The construction costs at that time amounted to 100.000 DM.
On 14 June 2003 the tower burned down after being set on fire, with the perpetrator being arrested the same night. It was rebuilt using the old ring foundation by architect Richard Kramer and the carpentry firm Gampp from Schluchsee. |

| Im Dezember erreichte er zwei dritte Plätze in den beiden Abfahrten von Bormio und im März wurde er nochmals Zweiter im Super-G von Kvitfjell. Auch im Riesenslalom und in der Super-Kombination gelangen ihm Top-10-Ergebnisse, wodurch er den neunten Platz im Gesamtweltcup und im Abfahrtsweltcup sowie den vierten Platz im Super-G-Weltcup erreichte. Als möglicher Medaillenanwärter ging er bei der Weltmeisterschaft 2007 in Are jedoch nach Platz acht in der Abfahrt und Rang elf im Super-G leer aus.
In der Weltcupsaison 2007/08 erreichte Scheiber drei Podestplätze: Er wurde im Super-G von Beaver Creek und in der Abfahrt von Kitzbühel jeweils Zweiter und belegte im Super-G von Kitzbühel Platz drei. Am 6. März 2008, seinem 25. Geburtstag, verletzte er sich aber beim Riesenslalom-Training in Maria Alm an der linken Schulter schwer. Nach einer Operation musste er die Saison vorzeitig beenden. Wegen einer neuerlichen Verletzung war die folgende Saison 2008/09 für Scheiber bereits nach nur drei Rennen zu Ende: Er zog sich am 30. November 2008 im Super-G von Lake Louise ohne Sturz einen Knorpel- und Meniskusschaden im Knie zu und konnte wegen anhaltender Schmerzen im Rest des Winters an keinen weiteren Rennen teilnehmen. |
In December he reached two third places in the two downhill races of Bormio and in March he was again second in the super-G of Kvitfjell. He also achieved top 10 results in giant slalom and super combination, which earned him ninth place in the overall World Cup and downhill World Cup, and fourth place in the Super-G World Cup. As a possible medal candidate, however, he came away empty-handed at the 2007 World Championships in Are after eighth place in downhill and eleventh place in super-G.
In the 2007/08 World Cup season Scheiber achieved three podium places: He finished second in the super-G of Beaver Creek and second in the downhill of Kitzbühel and third in the super-G of Kitzbühel. However, on March 6, 2008, his 25th birthday, he seriously injured his left shoulder during his giant slalom training in Maria Alm. After an operation he had to end the season early. Due to another injury, the following 2008/09 season was already over for Scheiber after only three races: On November 30, 2008, he suffered a cartilage and meniscus damage in his knee in the Super-G of Lake Louise without a fall and was unable to participate in any further races due to persistent pain for the rest of the winter. |

Die Känguru-Chroniken wurden vom Feuilleton überwiegend positiv aufgenommen: Die Süddeutsche Zeitung bezeichnete den Autor als „neue[n] Überflieger der deutschen Kabarettszene“, die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung bewertete die Kolumnen als „wortgewaltig, amüsant und temporeich“, der Radiosender Deutschlandfunk Kultur lobte: „Kling schreibt feinsinnig überspitzt und radikal direkt.“ Nach Meinung von Elisabeth von Thadden in der Wochenzeitung Die Zeit bietet Kling alles, „was die Sozialphilosophie an Gesellschaftskritik so zu bieten hat: Das Känguru will politische Teilhabe (Jürgen Habermas), quengelt um Anerkennung (Axel Honneth), braucht Liebe (Eva Illouz) und unbedingt Resonanz (Hartmut Rosa), es sucht Gerechtigkeit (John Rawls), will das System abschaffen (vertritt keiner mehr), erklärt die biologische Geschlechterdifferenz für irrelevant (Judith Butler). Es möchte Tiere so behandeln wie Menschen (Martha Nussbaum) und erstickt in Ambivalenz (Zygmunt Bauman)." In the opinion of Elisabeth von Thadden in the weekly newspaper Die Zeit Kling offers "everything social philosophy has to offer in terms of social criticism: The kangaroo wants political participation (Jürgen Habermas), whines for recognition (Axel Honneth), needs love (Eva Illouz) and definitely resonance (Hartmut Rosa), seeks justice (John Rawls), wants to abolish the system (no one represents it any more), declares the biological gender difference irrelevant (Judith Butler).
