Country Metal is a fusion genre of the genres of Country Music and Heavy Metal using typical instruments of both genres to create a musical tone that focuses mainly on the mixing of the twangy sounds of Country Music and the distorted, heavy sounds of Heavy Metal. It remains still a relatively untouched and underground genre, with only a handful of musicians or bands, such as Rebel Meets Rebel (a band consisting of the rhythm section from Pantera and Country singer David Allan Coe) and Haf Bitten Moon (an underground band that tours the bars in the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area), attempting to fuse the two aforementioned genres.
