GameDuell GmbH is a casual game developer located in #REDIRECT Berlin,#REDIRECT Germany.[1] The company develops games that are available on its own branded website, social networking sites such as Facebook, and mobile on Android, WebOS and iOS.

History[edit]

GameDuell was founded in 2003 by Boris Wasmuth, Kai Bolik and Michael Kalkowski [2] with branch offices in Asia and San Francisco, USA and a team of over 170 game enthusiasts.

According to #REDIRECT AppData, in July 2011, GameDuell had a total of over 3 million monthly active users.[3] The company has developed over 60 flash based games and has products available in 9 languages and 10 countries.[4]

Funding[edit]

The company received over $17 million (€11 million) in funding from #REDIRECT Wellington Partners[5] in an effort to accelerate its expansion into other European countries and the United States. This was in addition to the earlier funding from Holtzbrinck Ventures and Burda Digital Ventures in 2004.
