Lawrence Yau has been the Director of Corporate Communications of Urban Renewal Authority since 2008. He was the former Head of Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s media and public affairs before he joined the URA.

Mr. Yau was a script writer of TVB and a free lance screenplay writer. He was also a curator working for the then Regional Services Department's Museums Section.

Mr Yau received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hong Kong and a Master Degree in Communication with New Media from the City University of Hong Kong.
