I'm an MA student in Theoretical Linguistics and Psychology (with specializations in Cognitive Psychology and The Psychology of Social Issues) at ELTE, Hungary. I spend my time harassing people with experiments, teaching statistics and consulting on experiment design... and I guess I also sleep every once in a while.
I have also studied some International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies.
I'm a Modern Orthodox Jew and a Socialist. (However, I am not a member of any political party - I would annoy them to bits with my incessant criticism.)
My hobbies[edit]
computer graphics, writing and reviewing science fiction, Hungarian politics, anime and manga (especially seinen), comics, percussion (I play the doumbek), conlangs and worldbuilding, role-playing games, jigsaw puzzles, abandonware including emulation, skating, Dance Dance Revolution, and annoying my friends with all of the above. Wait, that's not a hobby, that's a pastime.
My professional interests[edit]
Syntax: Construction Grammar, Lexical Functional Grammar
Psycholinguistics: language acquisition, SLI, all sorts of aphasia
Autism: Asperger syndrome, theory of mind
Political psychology: issues related to party politics, national security and minority groups
And, obviously, statistics and design of experiments.
