Bad Omens is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2014, they have released one self-titled album. They are currently signed to Sumerian Records.
Biography[edit]
Formation (2014)[edit]
Bad Omens was formed in 2014 by vocalist Noah Sebastian. He had left a local band to focus on his own vision, which was to record a group of solo songs without telling anybody. His friends Nicholas Ryan and Vincent Riquer joined the band, and became the guitarist and bassist. Vincent introduced the rest of the band to Joakim Karlsson, an online friend from Sweden, who would become another guitarist. Lastly, they hired Nick Folio, who would be a drummer, after they saw his online cover of one of their demo songs. “The band started as me and two of my close friends and two other guys I’d never even met outside of Face Time or Skype,” says Noah. “This music just spoke to everyone, and we felt a bond.”[1]
Self-titled (2015-present)[edit]
In late 2015[2], Bad Omens signed to Sumerian Records and released their first single, Glass Houses. It was received generally well. In early 2016, another new single was released, called Exit Wounds. Later that year, they released two more singles named The Worst In Me, and The Fountain.
Bad Omens' self-titled album was released in August 2016. It was received well, with Metal Injection giving the album an 8.5/10.[3]
