Piet.Wijker was born in 1944 and started to be a Dutch Wikipedian in September 2006, shortly after he took early retirement. He is an expert in athletics and has contributed to articles on Dutch athletes as well as adding some new ones.

His wishes to contribute to the English Wikipedia as well, because he wants to be in a position to synchronize information in both the Dutch and English Wikipedia encyclopaedias.
