The goal of Recipe Nutrition is to provide a site on the Internet where you can easily build a recipe and see the nutrition as soon as you finish. Using specialized search technology the site makes it easy to find the ingredients that you are using to build your recipe. Recipe Nutrition does all the complex nutritional analysis of the the ingredients to give you the basic nutritional information such as Calories, Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fat. The site also calculate the percentages of these basic nutritional building blocks. As well you can view the detailed nutritional analysis to see vitamin and mineral content of the recipe. The user created recipes are meant to form the basis for a nutrition ecosystem. Because the recipes are composed of individual ingredients this means that any user can build a 'version' of any recipe by changing one or more ingredients or preparation steps. This fundamental design allows for the development of a 'social network' for nutrition.
