Nicolas Lake Scott Minnerath (born Truro, Massachusetts; August 11 1989) is a professional basketball player playing for STB Le Havre in the Pro A of the french Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). His natural position is Power forward.

Personal[edit]

Minnerath was born in Truro, a small town in Massachusetts where live just two thousand people. In his senior year in high school was when he suffered an ankle injury. There was when he saw his projection truncated, which should be his passport to the University, when he was nearing the age of 18. He saw himself out of the classroom and courts. He began to work in construction, 24 hours stores and he also worked as a taxi driver. In that phase he had contact with drugs. Until one day he recovered his dreams and became a professional basketball player.[1]

Season 10/11[edit]

On his first year at college, he played 33 games for the Detroit Titans in which he averaged more than 27 minutes per game. His numbers during this season were of 11 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. With this contribution, he helped his college to arrange the 6th position on the Horizon League with a conference record of 10 wins and 8 loses.[2][3]

Season 11/12[edit]

On his second year with the Titans, he played only 5 games due to an ankle injury that took him away from the courts for almost all the season. In those 5 games he averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds on 23 minutes per game.[4]

Season 12/13[edit]

His junior and last season on the NCAA we can say that was his best season. He scored 14.64 and caught 5.94 rebounds averagely during the 33 games that he played on the season. He leaded the Titans to achieve the NIT although they lost on the first round.[5]

NBA[edit]

NBA draft[edit]

Minnerath went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft making him an unrestricted free agent.[6]

Summer League[edit]

On the 2013's summer, Minnerath played the NBA Summer League for the Sacramento Kings. He played 5 games and averaged 5.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 17.4 minutes. With this stats, he helped his team to win one of the five games they played on the championship.[7]

Obradoiro[edit]

Santiago de Compostela

He arrived on 2013's summer to the galician city of Santiago de Compostela to play for Rio Natura Mombús (Obradoiro) on the Liga Endesa. With this team he played 15 games averaging 6 points and 2.2 rebounds and 3.3 of ranking in 16 minutes. He left the team on January to play on the french league for his actual team, the STB Le Havre. SBT Le Havre[edit]

On January of 2014 he arrived to the french city of Le Havre to play on its basketball team. The team plays on the top french league.[9]
