Dr. Warren Sarrell[edit]

Dr. Warren Sarrell was the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Sarrell Dental & Eye Centers which serves underprivileged children. The Anniston, Alabama based clinic was established in 2005 and now has 14 facilities across Alabama.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Dr. Warren Glea Sarrell was born on October 16, 1924, in Rockwood, Tennessee to Dr. James Edgar and Doris Kindred Sarrell. He graduated from high school as Valedictorian at Copperhill, Tennessee. He went on to receive a bachelor's of science degree at West Virginia University and later graduated from Cornell Medical College in New York City in 1948. He also interned at Roanoak Virgina Hospital, an Internal Medical Resident at Atlanta's Grady Hospital, and served as a Fellow and Chief Medical Resident at Emory University Hospital. In 1954, Dr. Sarrell moved to Anniston, Alabama to open a Cardiology and Internal Medical Practice. [1]
