TechWadi[edit]

TechWadi(wādī, Arabic for valley) is a California-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization seeking to build bridges between the United States and the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) region. It reaches over 1,000 technology leaders in the United States and across the globe.[1]

Goal and Activities[edit]

TechWadi is focused on three key goals: promoting education of entrepreneurship, establishing a global mentorship network,[2] and assisting high-impact entrepreneurs in providing access to resources, including capital.[3]

TechWadi Events[edit]

TechWadi regularly holds forums and coaching sessions in the United States and Arab World for advancing entrepreneurship in emerging MENA countries.

2010[edit]

• TechWadi Global Entrepreneurship Forum was held at the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon.[4]

• TechWadi established its first Global Technology Forum. The event addressed the need for entrepreneurship and venture capital, as well as highlighted the creation of the The Global Technology and Innovation Fund, which was made to support technological development in MENA countries.[5]
