Officer Basic Leadership Course — known also as OBLC — is a U.S. Army officer training course offered at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. The course is offered in a six week format directed at HPSP and USUHS students[1] and a seven week format with a one to five week addition Track Training as determined by the Corps Branch.[2]
History[edit]
OBLC is the latest restructuring of the course required to fulfill the Initial Entry Training as mandated under Title 10, U.S. Code on deploying US Armed Forces OCONUS. Sucessful conpletion of Army Physical Fitness Test with atleast a 60% is required for sucessful completion of OBLC.
Class Structure[edit]
Both classes followthe same basic structure of three wees of classroom style learn with PT in the mornings, followed by breakfast, class, lunch, class, dinner, and then to bunk. The first few weeks are highly structured without much personal time.

Uniforms[edit]
The class and number of uniforms required is dependent on wether after OBLC the officer with be Active Duty, IRR, or Army Reserves.
