Graeme John Hunt

Graeme John Hunt (1952– ) is a journalist, author and historian.

Biography[edit]

Graeme Hunt was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on 20 September 1952. He is a journalist, author and historian and holds a history degree and a business studies diploma from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand.[1] He is a fellow of Templeton Green College. University of Oxford, England, having attended in 2000 as a Chevening/David Low journalism fellow.

Hunt is a former editor-at-large of the National Business Review, Auckland, and a former editor of that paper's annual Rich List. He is also a radio and television commentator on business and politics and has written for a number of New Zealand publications including the New Zealand Listener, Management magazine, the New Zealand Herald,[2]

Interests[edit]

Hunt is deputy chairman of One Tree Hill College Board of Trustees, Auckland (his old school),[5] and was formerly deputy chairman of Kelston Girls’ College Board of Trustees, Auckland. He also serves on the (New Zealand) Young Enterprise Trust Supporters’ Council and undertakes the research into, and helps select, laureates for the Fairfax Media New Zealand Business Hall of Fame.[6]

He is a keen genealogist and has published two books on his family history.

Personal details[edit]

Graeme Hunt is married to Saluma (nee Ioane), a human resources manager. He has adult children, a son and daughter, from a previous marriage.
