Creation[edit]
Man Demon, nicknamed Dark Hero, is a fictional character and a superhero that was at first nothing more than the nickname of his creator, Simon Wolfe.
The character was created when the creator realized he was quite immune to pain and wondered what would happen if a "perfect" superhero was made that was also unaffected by pain and could never lose.
Origins[edit]
Man Demon, as a man, was an Irish youth by the name of William Thomas O'Reidy 18 years of age. That died in some way or another, exactly how is unknown, all that is known is that he died at the hands of at least one evil man, some believe he sacrificed himself to save another, but who and why is unknown. One thing is known however about Tommy, to distinguish him from his father William Wolfe O'Reidy, and that is there was a very malevolent demon in his mind that tried to get him to do wrong. But the will of Tommy was so strong that he could not be swayed.
When Tommy died it turned out that the demon in his mind, Res-Neh-Dah, had made a bet that the Tommy would be very evil before he died and not having specified what would happen had Res-Neh-Dah lost, Res-Neh-Dah was punished for his failure. Res-Neh-Dah would spend the rest of eternity in Tommy's mind being tortured as well. Res-Neh-Dah was unable to just leave himself because a demon cannot leave a mind on his/her own, it takes a higher demon, saint, Jesus, or God himself to move/remove them.
After spending 6 years being tortured and realizing that Res-Neh-Dah was going to do nothing Tommy finally gave into the madness and was able to break free from the torture. He found out that by drinking the blood of a demon he could take their crowning powers. As he battled his way out of Hell for another 6 years he made a deal with Res-Neh-Dah to work together and possibly Res-Neh-Dah could return to Heaven and regain his Angelhood if they could stop all the evil in the world and protect it. During this deal making process Res-Neh-Dah realized how truly powerful the pre-self was, at that time they became Man Demon. In fact, when he escaped Hell, only 10 seconds passed on Earth for every year that had passed in Hell and everything he gained in Hell came with him.
Appearance[edit]
Man Demon as of yet hasn’t been completely identified by all he has come in contact with. So far the following is all that is known.
Skin Color - Man Demon is a slightly tanned Caucasian. It is unsure why he is tanned seeing as he spends most of his time in the night.
Eyes - Man Demon's eyes are a swirled red and black that is so devilish that he always wears sunglasses, so that civilians aren't terrified.
Hair Style/Color - Man Demon hair color is brown but his style is unknown, he has yet to pick one, it is usually a mixture of a High-and-Tight and fauxhawk.
Height - 6'6". When Man Demon died, as Tommy, he was roughly 5'11", but after his torment in Hell where a demon drove pieces of metal in his back he is now 6'6". The metal in his back are visible through the skin if Man Demon were to take his coat and shirt off.
Weight - Unknown. There is much debate over how much he weighs, but then again it is unlkely to know his true weight as always has guns on him.
Defining Attributes - Man Demon has an Irish accent, growls at people if provoked, is very muscular, and has his symbol half tattooed/half scared/burned in his chest from his escape from Hell.
Clothing/Costume - Man Demon wears black jeans, white MD t-shirt, two trench coats, MD belt, combat boots, and a bandolier for Desert Eagles.
Powers[edit]
Man Demon has many powers that some, because of their effectiveness, were borrowed from other superheroes, but he merely got them from the demons he killed in Hell, which in fact turned out to have pretended to be gods to the Greeks and Romans so very long ago, but in their failure some were driven into the so-called "Bowl of Hell" where there is no escape except through flight. Incidently this was where Man Demon was punished before he escaped.
1. Six foot wings, Man Demon needing to be able to fly has 2 six foot wings, one on either side attached at his back in place of his shoulder blades. It is believed he can attain amazing speeds and fly at almost any altitude and that although massive can still be concealed within his trench coat. It is also believed that they are bullet proof.
2. Capacity to know all languages, Man Demon can both speak and understand any language in the world and possibly the universe, but in order to speak a language he must roll his finger round his right temple to select a language.
3. Capacity to see all light, Man Demon can see all forms of light, but he must first select which he wants. To do so he rolls his finger around his left temple until the correct sight is selected. He can also see very far away it is currently unknown the extent of his sight.
4. Regeneration, Man Demon can regenerate after any wound he may take in combat, but he will regenerate at a incredible speed. He can also regenerate entire limbs if need be also the demonized steel that he got from Hell is also regenerated.
5. Unbreakable bones and metal claws, Man Demon's bones are completely indestructible and in his hands are blades that extend between his fingers much like that of Wolverine from the X-Men movie except that instead of being housed in his forearms they are in three layers in his hands.
6. Amazing stamina, Man Demon has yet to run out of energy, be it sprinting, flying, or fighting he has yet to get tired. He does sleep, but only when he is able to, as a novelty. It is also unknown if he needs to eat eventhough it has been reported that he has been seen eating.
7. Burn touch, Man Demon can physically make things burst into flames by merely touching them. It is only a matter of will to make the item burn, unfortunately on several occasions he has accidentally done this from uncontrollable anger.
8. Super strength, Man Demon can carry many times his own weight and does most of the time. He always carries with him two trench coats. He straps guns to his clothes, the inside and outside of the inner trench coat, and the inside of the outer trench coat.
9. Freeze time, by the sanctity of God, Man Demon can freeze time and while so unfreeze whatever he wants. He does only use this sparingly though because of his pursuit for a challenge it is unknown how Man Demon got this power as no demon has it to be taken from.
Weapons[edit]
Man Demon carries many weapons on him, but above all else he always has two custom modified Desert Eagles, two Katanas, a Laser-Sighted Combat Knife with trigger for twisting the blade, and a shotgun or two.
He also carries many other guns that change from time to time, as he needs them, ranging from flame throwers and rocket launchers to pistols and knives depending on what he thinks is necessary.
When the Laser-Sighted Combat Knife first appeared he used it on a single bad guy in a dark warehouse. The guy, thinking he was safe, opened a door and the laser dot went to his chest. Panicking he tried to close the door and Man Demon stabbed him just to the left of the his heart. The guy, amazed that Man Demon missed, coughed, "Can't even aim," where as Man Demon growled and pulled the trigger, twisting the blade and ripping the guy's heart open, gushing blood on the floor.
