Virtual Office Hours[edit]

Every Wednesday during our normal class time (12 - 3 PM EST), I'll have virtual office hours via Zoom. I'm also available to meet at other times. Send me an email and I'll send you a Zoom link.

This Week's Assignment (due 4/29)[edit]

Your final presentation will be a 6-minute pre-recorded video, which you'll email to me, reflecting on challenges encountered and lessons learned during the writing process. More detailed instructions can be found on the Dashboard, and a sample video is in the general Course Contents folder at the bottom (https://blackboard.jhu.edu/webapps/blackboard/content/listContentEditable.jsp?content_id=_7329102_1&course_id=_203604_1)

To make a video in Zoom, follow these steps:

1. Send your partner a link to join a Zoom meeting.

2. Click 'Record Meeting' at the bottom of the screen.

3. Use the 'Share Screen' button at the bottom of the screen to display your visual aid.

3b. If your partner can't share their screen when it's their turn to talk, go to 'Manage Participants' at the bottom of the screen; click their name, then click 'Make Host'.

4. Stop the recording when your time is up.

If you want to record your parts separately, you can use the same method: just go to your personal meeting room and record yourself with screen sharing on. Then, splice you and your partner's parts together in Movie Maker or another video editing program.
