The following primary and caucus dates are either confirmed or anticipated dates as listed by The Green Papers. Delegate numbers for each state are based on estimated allocation, and do not yet account for delegate bonuses or penalties based on the arrangement of contests in the primary and caucus calendar; these are subject to change as states shift primary and caucus dates. States listed with a lavender background and an asterisk (*) do not yet have a 2020 date set by existing statute. States with a light yellow background and a dagger (†) are set to move their primary or caucus date after the likely passage of bills moving the dates of their 2020 contests; if not already listed, the date to which the contest is being moved is listed in parentheses.[1][2][3]
