[2]Prezi is a web-based presentation tool (called prezis for short). While it is comparable to other presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint, it also includes several unique features that make it a viable alternative. As a result, it has gained popularity in recent years in schools and corporations. If you want to make a presentation that is more visually appealing and engaging, Prezi may be the tool for you.

About[edit]

  1. What are the capabilities of your tool?[3][4][5]
    1. Prezi's initial benefit is its non-linear navigation. Prezi's trademark navigation provides an entirely new perspective for creating and viewing presentations. A project is produced in portions rather than adding slides one by one.
    2. Prezi offers a fantastic variety of integrations. Prezi can be integrated with third-party applications such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet. These connectors streamline the process of sharing and presenting Prezi projects with colleagues and teams.
    3. The advantage of Prezi software is its affordable price. The free version is ideal for students who only require the minimal essentials for their projects. Paid plans begin at $3 per month.
    4. Prezi assists in emphasizing the beginning, middle, and conclusion of a presentation by spatially organizing the content; the transitions and zoom feature assists in graphically explaining how the various points and concepts link to one another.
  2. What device(s) are necessary for utilizing this digital tool[6]
    1. Multiple Devices: Prezi works on all smartphones, iPads, iPhones, Mac, and Windows devices.
    2. [7]You can view, deliver, and share a presentation from anywhere in the world with the Prezi Viewer app for your mobile device.
    3. Additionally, you can view a Live Prezi presentation on your phone or tablet
    4. For Android and iOS devices, the Prezi Viewer app is available. After downloading and installing the app on your mobile device, you may sign in using your Prezi username and password.
    5. Prezi Viewer is not supported on Windows mobile devices at the moment.
  3. What would valuable features of your application make for an engaging online presentation?
    1. Multiple people can view, edit and share presentations at the same time from various locations.
    2. It's simple to create an impressive presentation, and the pre-built templates make it easy to "wow" your attendees with their pre-built transitions.
  4. What are the limitations of using this tool for creating engaging presentations?[5][7]
    1. Prezi Viewer is not supported on Windows mobile devices at the moment.
    2. [5]The first advantage of Prezi is also its most significant downside. For some, the frequent zooming in and out movement can be overpowering. Additionally, sharing a Prezi presentation on its own can be misleading if the viewer is unfamiliar with the functions. Similarly, it's easy for the creator to go crazy with zooming navigation. Without well-organized slides and sections, it can be challenging to convey coherently.
    3. Prezi's disadvantage is that presentations must be viewed online when utilizing the free or lower-tier editions. Slow internet rates might make navigating a Prezi nearly hard. Offline access is available exclusively to subscribers with a paid subscription.
    4. While Prezi includes specific charts and graphs, they are not entirely configurable or changeable for a personalized look and feel. Prezi has added a new function called Prezi Design that allows for greater customization of data visualizations, but it remains limited in comparison to other tools.
    5. To collaborate on a Prezi Presentation, team members must either have their account or be a part of an Enterprise account with distinct user logins.
