Briery Church[edit]

Briery Church is a Presbyterian church located just outside of Keysville, Virginia in Prince Edward County. A current member of the PC(USA), Briery Church was organized in 1755.

History[edit]

In the 1740s and '50s, the evangilist Samuel Davies--later to be the fourth president of Princeton University--helped organize a Presbyterian revival across Southside Virginia. The result was the creation of several Presbyterian churches throughout the state, one of which was Briery Church^[1].
