TicketSource Ltd is a primary ticketing agent and developer of an event ticketing system of the same name.

History[edit]

Founded by Simon Wilsher, Gavin Davidson and Alex McLaughlan of Source Insurance ltd in 2004. [2] - they offered services only to UK based event organisers and expanded in 2014 to offer services in the USA and Europe. They are a full member of Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers. [3] In 2016, TicketSource was announced to be 20th in the 50 fastest growing companies in Wales. [4] [5]

Industry Involvement[edit]

TicketSource sponsored the first ever National Rural Touring Awards[6], dedicated to honouring the hard working people that come together to make UK based rural touring schemes a success.

Cardiff Fringe Theatre Festival was sponsored by TicketSource, who also ran an award for the 'Festival Favourite'. [7].

After 5 year hiatus, TicketSource sponsored Pride Cymru's resurrection of Cardiff's Big Weekend as Pride Cymru's Big Weekend [8] - a fusion of one of the UK's largest open music festivals with the Cardiff LGBT Pride parade.

Booking Fees[edit]

In September 2015, TicketSource changed its fee structure from a flat 10% per ticket fee to 45p + 2.5% with a separate 3.5% card processing fee on transactions using their merchant service.

After The Times published TicketSource in a list of companies charging excessive card payment fees[9], the company announced it was already planning to reduce it's fees to compensate. In February 2017, the booking fee was changed to a flat 7.5%[10].
