The Northwest Front is a political organization of white men and women who believe that the establishment of an independent and sovereign white nation in the Pacific Northwest, the “Homeland,” is the only possibility for the survival of the white race on the North American continent[1]. The name of the state they propose to create is the Northwest American Republic. The Northwest Front is a white separatist movement dedicated to the Fourteen Words of David Lane[2]: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White children.[3]” Associates are divided between different religious camps, chief among them Christianity, Christian-Identity, neo-Paganism, and complete non-believers. Their basic tenet is the belief that the United States will eventually undergo a Soviet-style breakdown of centralized power, and lose the ability to enforce its will throughout the continent. At that time, the Northwest Front plans the seizure of state power through the creation of the Northwest American Republic in the power vacuum created by the collapse of the United States.[4]

Proposed Boundaries[edit]

The proposed White Homeland will consist of a core territory of Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and the western part of Montana with Interstate 15 being the approximate eastern border[5]. At various times in the past, other parts of the Northwest have been suggested as potentially forming part of the Homeland. These include roughly the northern third of California above Redding, the state of Wyoming, the state of Alaska, and the present Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta[6]. (There is a sporadically active independence movement in Alaska, the Alaskan Independence Party, neo-conservative and capitalist in nature[7] and thus rejected by N.F. associates as a vehicle for racial survival[8]. Cascadia, a separatist movement with a distinct racial tinge to it also exists in Western Canada[9].)

History[edit]

The concept of mass white migration to the northwest states followed by secession from the U.S.A. was first postulated by Christian Identity pastor Robert E. Miles in early 1980's articles written for his From the Mountain newsletter[10]. Further development of the idea was effected by Church of Jesus Christ-Christian pastor Richard Girnt Butler until his death in 2004. Butler’s characterization in the mainstream media as a white supremacist, neo-Nazi hate-monger insured that the average white American had little interest in his ideas.[11][12][13]

In the years just preceding the deaths of both Miles and Butler, author Harold Covington adopted the Northwest Imperative, adding substance to, and codifying, the idea in the pages of his five northwest revolution novels, the Northwest Saga.[14] These novels are not meant to be mere entertainment. They are meant to be self-fulfilling prophecies. Covington wishes to inspire the creation of a real Northwest American Republic, and his novels are filled with a great deal of sound practical advice about how to do it.[15][16][17][18]

The official founding date of the Northwest Front is November 5th, 2008, the day after "Black Tuesday"—the election of Barack Hussein Obama to the presidency of the United States.

Primary Settlement Areas (PSAs)[edit]

The Northwest Imperative mandates the relocation of all racially conscious whites to the four Northwest states in preparation for the seizure of state power from a decrepit and militarily reduced U.S. government.[19] Primary Settlement Areas (PSAs) have been established since 2009 to aid disaffected whites in their resettlement efforts, affording local support to help them succeed economically, politically, culturally and socially. Northwest Front PSAs exist in all four states claimed by the Northwest Front as their Homeland; Port Orchard, Washington; Salem, Oregon; Couer d'Alene, Idaho; and Kalispell, Montana[20].

The Northwest Saga[edit]

H.A. Covington’s Northwest quintet of novels—Hill of the Ravens (2003), A Distant Thunder (2004), A Mighty Fortress (2005), The Brigade (2008), and Freedom's Sons (2011)—may represent the most worked out and authoritative treatment of White Separatism in the English language. Both as popular fiction and political tract, it is a unique work. But most remarkable of all is the utter silence that surrounds it. Categorized as "subversive material" by the Canadian, German, and British governments[21], and with the possession of the novels added to the list of "reasons for interview" by U.S. Homeland Security[22], the complete blackout of the existence of these novels by the mainstream media is perhaps not unexpected. Covington’s Quintet is infinitely more readable and convincing than William Pierce’s Turner Diaries (now a white separatist classic), but has probably sold only a fraction as many copies. Part of the problem with its reception might lie in the fact that Covington, a veteran of the National Socialist Movement[23], has made not a few enemies within the racially conscious community, evident in his numerous critical references to the character deficiencies of Pierce, as well as to Matt Koehl, Ben Klassen, Tom Metzger, David Duke, Martin Webster, John Tyndall (politician), and others.

As a separatist, Covington believes the present situation is such that any hope of reversing America’s “de-Europeanization” or the "Judeo-liberal regime" in Washington, D.C. responsible for it is no longer feasible. He believes that the sole option left to whites seeking to ensure their existence in North America is to break off a portion of the lands their ancestors possessed and establish a white homeland. To this end he proposes the migration of racially aware whites to the Pacific Northwest—the demographically whitest section of the United States—to create there the critical mass that will be needed when the time comes to wage an anti-colonial war against the "Zionist regime"[24][25][26] in Washington, D.C.

Premised on this migration, his five novels revolve around events that occur sometime in the second and third decade of the 21st century, when all the tendencies presently in place have been taken to their horrific and ethnocidal extension. For reasons almost providential, whites in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho finally rebel, when they spontaneously resist federal agents attempting to carry off the children of a politically incorrect, but well-regarded family. Locally-based members of the Northwest Front created by the migration then intervene. They help arm, organize, and lead several hundred Coeur d’Alene whites against the troops sent in to crush them. Their rebellion is quickly extinguished, but, like Ireland’s Easter Rebellion, ignites a war for national independence.

From five different perspectives, Covington tells the story of the Northwest Volunteer Army (NVA), as it leads an IRA-style terror campaign against the Anglo-Zionist forces in control of the United States. The NVA’s struggle is greatly facilitated by the fact that in this near-future period American society and the U.S. government have become even more incompetent than they are today. The U.S. military is bogged down in endless wars in the Middle East fought on Israel’s behalf; its social system is increasingly dysfunctional, balkanized into rival racial-ethnic interest groups; an ever-growing part of the white population, unable to compete with immigrant labor, is condemned to perpetual unemployment or conscription; and the material prosperity that has long served as a race-obliterating opiate has given way to the growing impoverishment and alienation of the white masses.

For five bitter years, the NVA wages the “war of the flea,” blowing up key infrastructures, sabotaging databases, attacking the regime’s tax-collecting and judiciary agents, intimidating employers of non-white labor, and even sending Volunteers to disrupt the vulnerable lifelines that allow New York and Washington to function as the ZOG’s central nervous system.

Unable to sustain the damages and disruptions of these assaults, Anglo-Zionist representatives of the federal government are eventually forced to negotiate a peace settlement with the insurgents, negotiations which end up sanctioning the secession of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho (along with parts of Northern California, Wyoming, and Montana) from the United States of America and the establishment of a white homeland under the political auspices of a Northwest American Republic.

Government and NGOs[edit]

Interestingly, the Northwest Front is officially ignored by the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, the premier civil rights/human relations agency in the United States. No reports, exposés, white papers or funds appeals concerning the Northwest Front appear in their literature or website,[27] although the ADL’s subsidiary non-profit organization, the Montana Human Rights Commission, spends millions annually to neutralize the Northwest Front's perceived social and political gains in that state.

The Southern Poverty Law Center lists the Northwest Front as an “active white nationalist group” exclusively utilizing information gleaned from the internet, without detail of its aims or operations.[28] Lack of detail is not surprising since, according to General Secretary Harold Covington on his weekly podcasts, per inceptos hymenaeos.
