Introduction[edit]
These are 7 featured highways of California, or parts of highways. This essay is a parody of the unofficial 7 Wonders of the World list. All 7 of them are signed routes and feature outstanding scenery and great views around the route like the image of I-580 on the right. They provide strange and mysterious pasts and interesting descriptions of their routes. As some of the routes are very popular, others are much less. People wouldn't even take a second glance at some of the highways I selected in this essay and read interestingly at other ones. These 7 routes are:
- California State Route 1
- California State Route 33 from Ventura to Maricopa
- California State Route 99
- California State Route 110
- California State Route 140 from California State Route 49 east
- U.S. Route 101
- Interstate 580
