Early Life[edit]

Hawai'i[edit]

Jordan lived in Hawai’i until his freshman year of high school, with parents who had founded a government-contracted computer sales company. Raised in such an environment, he became fluent in both entrepreneurialism and technology - later participating in STEM competitions and student government.

Virginia[edit]

In 2010, Jordan moved to Northern Virginia, where he graduated from Tuscarora High School in 2014.

It was here that Jordan began engaging in the world of business, becoming more involved in his parents' company and taking classes in economics, finance, and marketing. This background culminated with the decision to pursue a bachelor's degree in economics. At the same time, he took a series of science classes that piqued his fascination with physics, leading him to found a club for like-minded students and apply to college with the intention of studying physics.

Collegiate Career[edit]

Driven by a desire for a strong program of study in both economics and physics, Jordan attended UC San Diego with a double major in economics and physics. After taking an intense course in computational physics, he declared the specialization during his third year.

Student Organization Leadership[edit]

Model United Nations (MUN)[edit]

Since joining the MUN competition team his freshman year, Jordan has participated in 8 conferences as a delegate and chaired 8 committees, with topics ranging from international loan programs for developing nations to renegotiation of the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Jordan has been the Director of Finance for the organization since 2016. During his tenure, they hosted the largest-ever Fall conference in the club's history, with a profit margin of over 80%, and the team was ranked among the top 75 teams in the world.[1]

Triton Rocket Club (TRC)[edit]

Founded with the goal of being the first collegiate team to launch a rocket into outer space, TRC has had Jordan as its acting Treasurer since 2015. He established the club’s accounting system, and helped secure over $24,000 in funding for the project.

Professional Development[edit]

Aqua Design Innovations (ADI)[edit]

As the lead business analyst at the San Diego startup, Jordan compiled financial and inventory data for presentation to the board of directors and investors, and created revenue and expense forecasts - many forecasts initially showed the company driving itself toward bankruptcy.

During this time, Jordan worked with the CEO to guide the company in reducing its excessive marketing expenses, move the primary sales channel to Amazon, launch a new product on Kickstarter, and look into retail markets. In only 8 months, ADI had recovered and was projecting upward.

Leidos[edit]

Jordan worked at Leidos as a physics intern in the Civil group on transportation security contracts. The project he joined involved upgrading radiation detection systems that had been deployed across the world.[2] Jordan worked with scientists and engineers to improve the isotope identification algorithm and develop calibration procedures.
