Hi, my name is Jesrael Jacobs.

I am a young, energetic first year student at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

I am currently 19 years old, and for the past 5 years I have been actively involved in various Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development Initiatives in South Africa.

From serving as a Youth Safety Ambassador for the Western Cape, to becoming a dance teacher and facilitator for The Ackermans Dance Academy, to being appointed as a co-host of a national youth radio show on Bush Radio in 2012, I have garnered extensive knowledge and skills in the world of Youth Development, Interaction and Participation.

In 2013, I was elected as Chairperson of the Norman Henshilwood High School Student Council, after which I choreographed and directed a sold-out production at the school. Having been in the Performing Arts Industry over the past 11 years, I have developed an immense passion for using dance and drama as a medium for effective influence and change.

In 2014, I joined South Africa's phenomenal Leadership Organisation, LEAD SA, as part of their 'Future Leaders: Cape Town' Programme, which serves to enrich young, effervescent individuals with tools to make a positive change in their communities.

I am thrilled to be a part of the WikiPedia Family.
