London Taxi Radio (LTR) is an online Internet Radio Station and Digital Media organisation in London, England, mainly aimed at the niche audience of London's iconic Black Taxi drivers and their families, customers and supporters.

London Taxi Radio launched on 12th August 2012 on an internet radio stream.

London Taxi Radio is a community internet radio initiative and non-profit making company.

History

London Taxi Radio launched in September 2012 with an Internet Stream at 128kbps, soon more streams were added to accommodate Taxi drivers listening on their mobile devices to conserve their data usage. London Taxi Radio enjoyed moderate success steadily growing in listeners but not really gaining the number of listeners that was first hoped. 2014 saw Podcasts added to the content produced by London Taxi Radio which increased the listener numbers 10 fold in the first week. The podcasts have increased the listener figures considerably to the point where 20% of their target audience listen to London Taxi Radio content in one form or another
