My name is Jake Basford and I am the Media Coordinator and Fundraiser for Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust, a Welsh charity that promotes the plight of Gwrych Castle in Abergele. I live in Cardiff and work remotely, visiting Gwrych Castle probably once a month or so.

Gwrych Trust was set up by Mark Baker in 2001, formally receiving its charity status in 2002, and has been running ever since. Recently it has been given lease over the Melon House, Conservatory and Formal Gardens by its owners, EPM UK Ltd, for a Visitor’s Centre and Café.
